No. Once you go prototype, you become the embodiment of glory itself. It is the single most powerful item in the game due to how much you can fit inside it. Hell, even my Minmatar Scout can actually use all their slots!
Me? Well, I become the embodiment of a God o' Bacon n' Glory. The skills are extremely good at level 5. Only odd thing is that I'm more likely to die in my proto Scout than my STD lol. I use my proto to eff around with fittings because I have so many, rather than using the STD for that. |

Lower the cost. Didnt Rattati once said they wanted to level the playing field? Well there you go.

SP investment is a matter of desire. ANYONE can get a suit to proto, just by owning a character for awhile. It is that bonus applied which is important as it makes Dren suits rep like a pro. If you wanted a level playing field (AKA everyone in proto) make it so my cheapest effective Proto Minlogi suit is less than 150k, since isk has, and always will be, the deciding factor in this game (as evident by the initial and continued desire to farm the donut, nobody would do it if there is no benefit. as displayed by the previous donut holders disappearing after their isk faucet got slowed down unless they actually had to fight themselves). If you have it, you are extremely difficult to beat if not impossible (see old donut)....if you don't, then it is only a matter of time before you fall to anyone who does.
People can say what they want, but SP cost is fine, if not kinda on the cheap for the suit (got about 6-7 suits to proto total, 3 logi) because of the carryover bonus to Std/Adv. The real elephant in the room if the isk cost to actually run proto, not the time it takes to let passives eventually build up to a suit. Play this game long enough and you will have a proto fit, only reason someone doesn't is by choice, not anything the game can change to accommodate.
P.S. Don't normally agree with, let alone like, things several people her say.....but this is something that needs repeating. SP cost is fine, it just gets priced out of the normal players hands through isk cost and the ease others have to farm it. |

I'm just shocked that people think SP cost is high for proto, and don't even mention isk cost to support and maintain use of said suit. |

I'd like to see skill multipliers decrease for Engineering and Electronics. They should be a 1x skill. There is really no justification for it being so high.

Meh.
If they gave me a respec, and increased SP cost of a proto suit to 30million SP, I'd still get one. So it's actually a bargain at 1.9mil. |

Prototype is an opportunity to parade around in overpriced suits that cost you 130-250k a pop!
Hell yes they're worth 1.9 mil SP.

If you're gonna die in a fire, you should do so stylishly. and yet, you get the benefit of "skilling into" Min proto suits on the absolutely hideous, and entirely isk free, and completely useful Dren variant and that equipment all works just as good. Some people have proto skilled, but never even bough a proto suit of that variant in their life. Why spend money you aren't going to use, I thought Goons were supposed to own everything so why would'nt they want all proto fittings.*
*thank God I can quit agreeing with Goons again. You were all starting to make sense in this thread, and I was concerned for my mental health. Unless you were saying that as sarcasm, which would make sen..........FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU!**

lv5's have always been about specializing. sure they're a little steep but they'll give you that edge over other who can't be bothered to skil into it and preffer AUR or LP store items. proto logi helps with equipment fitting, scout proto helps cloak fitting. its only a small amount but if you want the best from your suits you have to put the work in

Honestly specializing for the new player is rather stupid the way they constantly change stuff. You specialize into something then later its deemed OP and the item/suit is drastically changed.
