A dev stated that they were taking a look at the minsent, and as a user of it, I wanted to throw out what gripes I have with the suit.
The biggest problem, in my opinion, is the speed. The Minmatar basic heavy frame is faster than the Minmatar Sentinel, in exchange for more armor. No other suit does this. The Gallente and Amarr heavy frames both get increased armor but keep the same speed when they make the jump to sentinel, so why not the Minmatar as well?
My other problem is the fact that the Minmatar Sentinel is armor centered. It has more highs than lows, a decent shield recharge rate, and a decent shield delay. All the base stats point towards it being a shield centered suit. (The Minmatar basic heavy frame has more shields than armor, I don't see why that would change when it goes to Sentinel)
In the event that the above paragraph made it into the game, I would also recommend that the resistance to blasters on armor be changed to resistance to blasters on shields. (You could say the same thing for the Amarr Sentinel)
TL;DR- Buff Minsent speed, flip shield/armor stats, change armor resistance to shield resistance.
SP Sinks? Fixed.

I agree with much of what this human says.
MinSent needs some attention.
Either make 'er more shield heavy to compensate for the high slots or give it more speed.

Minmatar Sentinel also has a lower percentage of HP compared to the caldari/gallente suits than any other type of suit in the game.
Minmatar scouts have the same percentage less HP as logistics and assaults...and even the Amarr Sentinel has the correct increase in HP...but the minmatar was screwed over for one reason or another.

I think this was an oddball outlier case.
I think if the MinSent retains the lowest HP count it needs to be damn near assault level speed, a fast attack Heavy, as it were

The Minsent only viability is it's speed nothing else. It bonus doesn't help me and considering it has low hp. Right now heavies are too reliant on armor and thus shield tanking on heavies sucks. First off Minsent needs to have more shield than armor that's a must and I agree. Also, to make shield tanking viable i would like to see a bonus for an increase in shield in using a shield extenders such as a 2% increase in shield.

Am i the only one that remembers how bad the F1 tanks were zipping around at super speeds being unkillable?

First, a Minsent + one complex kinetic catalyzer doesn't outrun a Minlogi. To be exact, a Minsent with maxed core skills and a complex kincat sprints at 6.7m/s. The base speed before you consider any core skills on a Minlogi is 7m/s. Also, the speed buff that I was recommending to the Minsent was to bring it in line with the speed of the basic heavy frame. Even with that buff, it would only run at 6.95m/s with maxed core skills and one complex kincat. Still doesn't outrun the logi.
Second, since when do we use the speed that logi's run as a balancing metric? I would argue that the one of the roles of the Minsent is to run down medium frames and destroy them. In that case, the Minsent needs an even bigger buff to speed than I recommended in the OP.

Sentinels role has already been designated as point defense. They are ment to chase other heavies and kill them with strong weapons,like let's say...the BURST HMG.
It's ridiculous that you think something so heavily tanked should move so fast.
Assaults are already breaking the rules as is,we don't need more like them.

The only rules assaults are breaking are the arbitrary ones in your head.
Sentinel role is "whatever dumbass thing I want to do in my sentinel suit." I like kicking in doors.
Minmatar go faster. Its what they do.
Logistics speed is also a thing being looked at by the CPM and devs. |

replace the bounus it has now with a big bonus to kincats not a flat speed increase because people will just brick tank it with one kincat and still beable to run 7m/s with 1400 ehp give it the same base sprint speed as the other heavies but keep movement speed the same that way if someone brick tanks it it will just as slow as the other heavies but if they use kincats it will be fast i mean really fast do you guys think 9 m/s is too fast |

No i prefer not to give any bonus to biotic modules since it already succeeds in this aspect. What I prefer is to give a 5% or a 10% extra shield for shield extenders. Since sheild tanking on heavies sucks this might be a good idea to shield tank on minsent.

Logistics speed is also a thing being looked at by the CPM and devs. The rules assaults break: More shields = less shield regen -see extenders,see sentinels,see scouts More armor = less speed/ stamina regen -see armor plates,see sentinels,see scouts
For the sake of giving assaults a buff in desperation,CCP has ignored all the rules they have set previously for tank Vs speed.
Assaults get both and suffer 0 penalties. And yet logistics is the exact opposite.
