i like this variant of hmg and i know this thing is too op in its current form but at the same time i know you guys at ccp are going to overnerf it beacuse of its current form right now so can you bring it back to where it was ? you know revert the changes back to where it was .

it seems fair.. it burns ammo like a bush-fire burns Australia it Overheats in no time at all..
burst = offensive
while the standard HMGs chew the ammo before they spit it out.. overheating is harder and lets you send a wall of lead against multiple foes constantly..
standard = defensive
PS. some one already did a massive pros vs cons thread on Features and ideas on the HMGs

i just hope they dont screw up the burst hmg and just leave it as it was, as a prescicion weapon (if you just sprayed and pray with it as the other hmg,s you could die pretty easily) now it feels very overpowered compared to the other variants.

ROF takes into account how quickly it spits out rounds and the pause between bursts. Old burst Hmg was at 4680 (or near enough). The bursts are now quicker and the pause has been decreased which combined add up to the displayed 6000rpm.
Pretty sure Logibro explained it prior to Charlie being deployed. |

I had actually asked Logibro directly about it right before Charlie dropped. And he did confirm actual ROF at 6000rpm. But as both Castba and Logibro pointed out, the 4000rpm figure takes into consideration the pause between bursts.
With that said, I could live with a slight decrease to the damage per burst....but honestly the other balancing factors (extreme ammo consumption, constant threat of overheat if engaging multiple targets) lend to a pretty solid weapon that takes at least SOME skill to use to it's fullest. |

I think the burst is in a good spot...
You can kill anything, but if you don't have a supply depot or nanohive anywhere near you, you're screwed. That kinda balances the firepower.
Shotgunner for life.

If so this is the first time im aware of an rpm figure taking into account the burst delay. E.g. the CR rpm figure given both in game and in ccp spreadsheets has always been the rpm of the burst itself, disregarding the delay. Seems strange that theyd redefine a central stat like that, then leave the old definition in game to confuse matters further. Linky? |

Pro tip: if you hold down R1 the burst HMG keeps shoting with the max possible burst delays without the need to retap R1.

Lol. Its a bugged weapon that deals 50% more damage than it was intended to deal, yet here you are defending it because its a Minmatar weapon. All credibility lost... |

i just wish that CCP revert it back to where it was , sure it overheated less, but it had an almost 1 second delay in firing its burst and if you screwed up with 1 burst you were in big trouble as the other heavy , not only did not take any damage but is also mowing you down or the scout had place two shots on you with the shotty or alredy killed you with explosives.
it was a rather high risk and reward weapon, sadly knowing Ratatti he will probably overnerft the thing so may aswell enjoy while it last
