Why would I scrub up an LAV when the really fun killfeed **** comes from chucking a flux in a room full of red dots and going berserk?
LAVs only get you idiot stragglers and random kills of convenience. Its really why the vehicle has a bumper, so I dont have to worry about random obstacles. Roadkill uses less ammo and doesnt interrupt my travel to charlie to kick in your door.

But Yeah, they're legit Heavy busters.
+1 this man (I assume?) speaks the truth.
The Burst HMG has always been a very quick way to kill. Way back in 1.4-1.5 I'd occasionally get 2 kills on the one bust (one red and the red behind him). They're very good in Heavy vs Heavy especially if using a Cal, Min or rep tanked Gallente. Popping in and out of cover as the Standard and Assault variants are sustained DPS weapons.
Back pre-1.8 I'd throw some Kin-Cats and reppers on the lows and run around with it like a heavy shotgun.
The problem was always managing the heat build up. When an HMG over heats you have all the time in the world to take them down, one time early on I rather embarrassingly had my HMG over heat on my last round, geez that took a long time.
But I'm mainly a scout and so I do see this from a squishier perspective. But I don't really find the burst to be that huge a problem.
Ignore these plebs, I'm sure they're also the assaults that complain about getting blapped by a forge in CQC.
We'll bang, OK?

Lol assault buff what a joke. Don't pick fights with heavies. You're not intended to win, and you won't win. You can do things heavies cannot do. So when it comes to direct combat the heavy is intended to win every time. If you don't like that you can feel free to jump into a heavy suit and lose your other abilities. I think my brain just broke. Only abilities lost is jumping over small objects and a equipment slot. Thats fine since i can team up with one guy to drop enough for the whole team 4 the rest of the match, then he can join me in a fat suit. And dust is made so its most fat suit friendly so jumping is just for bunny hopping scouts. So what abilities am i missing again? You have better scan, more versatility in your slot layout which allows for hybrid roles like easier dampening or hacking in addition to combat, you have equipment which allows you to help your team with uplink spam (highly important in a real match), and you have faster movement which allows you to transition from defense to attack when moving between points (This is the bread and butter of real competitive matches) Whereas the heavy is generally a liability when transitioning unless he stacks kincats (thereby making him much worse in actual combat). You have a higher jump which gives you the ability to create shortcuts when planning a tactical retreat or chasing an enemy down. You have a better strafe which allows for peek-a-boo tactics the heavy is too big and too slow to use in the same manner, and when combined with a smaller hitbox allows you to be virtually 3 times more effective in long-range battles as small amounts of movement are all it takes to get out of your opponents crosshair and reduce his DPS to zero.
Which is why no good player ever use a heavy (unless to AV), it's made for the rubbish players to feel part off the game because they can actually get a kill.
Wayyyyy more thought goes into scout play than stand and spray heavies.
I am LHughes. Did you like your handjob?

Heavies dont need ewar. If a ewar scout isnt packin nk and gets luck enough to get close enough and doesn't get killed by the other squadmates then he might score that one kill. As 4 equipment i already said one guy at the very start can give more then enough 4 the whole team 4 the rest of the match. As 4 getting to areas i have a lav 4 that so lost nothing gained hp and strongest weapons.

Especially if you are a scout. Or...or...or, maybe, just maybe, the forge gunner is good. I killed people at close distance all day for the event. I especially liked the HMG users that would make it easy and stand still while shooting me, only to find themselves ending that fight with a giant hole in their chest.
