Do something about it. Anything. I don't care if the new system will still screw over small squads and solo players, but can we just get screwed in a different way?
Maybe move some objectives around? Make us wait 3 minutes while the Matchmaking AI actually does something? Give the gimped team more players?
Something. Anything.
I challenge you, Rattati. If you really want to prove yourself as a Dev, fix this. Quit nitpicking numbers with weapons and fix the most game-breaking aspect of this application.

If the playerbase is too small for effective matchmaking, they should really concentrate their efforts on making each side as evenly matched as possible. If one side has a full squad with excellent players (high K/D, high WPs/match, high SP, etc.) then fill in the rest of their team with the weakest players in the queue. If there are two squads of strong players, put them on opposite teams.

I'm for matchmaking as much as the next guy, but please continue to balance things. Alpha - Charlie have been some of the best balancing this game has seen.
But yeah, we need some form of matchmaking in public contracts. If nothing else, just keep players with excellent K/D and lifetime WP totals from being on the same teams.

They're decided by Scotty, well before we even hold those Weapons or put on those Dropsuits. I would never know if something is actually balanced because I'm either on the **** Team with mostly solo NPC players (presumably noobs) or in a squad and on the decent Team, and slaying those same presumed noobs by the bucket load.

This.
Iv had enough of stomping/carrying, inadequate/newb players.
I'm literally having to run proto becauseci need the HP to try and combat the constant 6-8 vs 2 situations.
Or I could hide in the redline and snipe right?.

The problem is lack of cooperation. Had bunch of matches start out strong with both sides fairly even but the one side pushes a little harder and as the other side loses ground they take some heavy loses and them everyone gives up. Who's going to bite the bullet and get slaughtered trying to take the objective while everyone else sits and watches?
The game is balanced around squads. A well organized squad can march right through a team of even vet solos. And when you add in the fact that once that squad starts it's death march the other solos on their team come running to join the march. Then the opposing team scatters before the death march.
Any match making fixes must take this into consideration.

K/D(r) matchmaking makes lethality a 50/50, and other considerations begin to shake out after that (money, squad efficiency, roles, etc.). Then the game really begins, after the stomping once and for all ends.
If you are K/D(r) matched when starting the match, you're already amongst peers. If you squad up after, the average of the squad is near enough the team(s)' K/D(r) to keep it fair enough, save tactics and teamwork. If you are squadded before entering the queue, the squad average K/D(r) assumes that your stronger characters will carry the weaker ones, and that average is used, but you'd better stay close to your stronger players.
the sig, it is truth
K/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game.

To fix matchmaking there has to be in place a system where no one can join a match already started. Second it should be a list of times when match's start and the player can click and wait. Third limit one squad per Corp so this would solve the stomping some receive. Fourth have it based on SP so a sprinkling of different levels are on each side. This IMO would be a big step to really fixing the matchmaking issue.

That is a wad of overly complex vagary that doesn't directly and definitively address the problem: stomp. SP doesn't dictate lethality, I get squished by newbies in starter fits all the time, and I have 32mil career SP. If sides are even by lethality, it would not matter when you entered either side, because the chances of entering a stomp drops to near nil. Besides, if every match is going to be roughly the same level of challenge (and one that increases with skill and experience), quitting out is pointless, and simply would not occur. Corps can send as many squads as they like, because it's lethality (aka challenge) that is going to separate them.

Incentives for fighting, winning would do more than any matchmaking system.

Squadding implies I have people really to squad with. I'm not very gregarious over comms as it usually turns into irrelevant **** that has nothing to do with the game I'm playing. Or it's someone in my comms masturbating to themselves about their K/DR or something. Few times I run into good squads I then rarely ever see them online at the same time anyways. And randomly squadding as some people suggest is pointless. Blueberries still act like blueberries even when they turn green.
No thank you, i'll just continue to solo. It's not too bad. Sometimes the gods of New Eden smile on me and I end up with a competent team that knows how to change roles and adapt to the battlefield. Other times the game is not so kind and I'm thrown in with morons that constantly say to themselves, "Hey there's an enemy tank I better go talk to it." or "Oh nooooo a dropship run away!!! Surely it won't chase me down and kill me..." or "There's too many red guys all over that objective I better snipe..." or last but certainly not least *Move controller stick every now and then* "Eh I'm just trying to get more isk."
When it's the good teams: What's goin' on!

Although Rattatai has done a good job of making the game at least playable again (when FF first hit with no promised future content we had issues like misfiring forges and by consequence ADS running around with impunity) this hasn't fixed the fact that the game's core mechanics and design are still ****** and only getting more exacerbated over time. I used to love this game and was a huge supporter, but I played the Destiny Beta and tried Dust again and realized what a pile of shite it really is. A friend of mine from work plays PS2 on PC and has been getting me up to speed on how that game functions, that game makes Dust look REALLY bad and when it is released on PS4 sometime before Christmas, this game will die if Destiny doesn't kill it in three weeks

Destiny is a very different game as is PS2. Very little depth/customization with cookie/cutter classes/roles. You unlock weapons and never have a use for the previous version (or can't even use it in PS2). Your choices don't really matter much. The game is linear and shallow. Deaths have no real penalty, so you can just charge in over and over in mindless combat. Spawn, kill die, repeat ad nauseum. The whole thing is very shallow and why DUST is the first FPS game I've ever bothered to PvP in.
Now the controls in Destiny are more polished, and there is fun to be had progressing through the story missions. But in the end, there is very little to make me want to **** away hours in a PvP endgame.

But then you would only have a bunch of heavies, snipers and some slayer scouts. No logics or pilots.
The problems lies in the variety of play styles that are tracted in different ways.
Player a has a high k/d only because he ovoids fightin but isn't skilled enough to go up against vets Player b has a lower k/d because he is very aggressive.
His could be fixed using over all kills in combination but then we would still be leaving out other roles such as logis. The answer to match making will be a fairly complicated algarithum that will have to be fine tuned. Our deva are programmers and not mathematicians.

The simplest approach I believe would be to match make according to squads. And I don't mean a 6 man squad on one side and 3 two man squad on the other side.
Could also add a additional requirement that would put top performing corp squads on weaker teams( teams with less squads)
