Maken Tosch DUST University Ivy League 9032	Posted - 2014.08.13 23:22:00 - [1] - Quote So today I got into a two-player squad with Dreis Shadowweaver and we go into two skirmish matches. In both matches, me and Dreis made it to the top 5 in the roster. We won the first map and I think we lost the second one. Here is what went down. Please forgive me if you see any typos because I'm a bit psyched out right now. First Match Line Harvest Map 2050 WP Killed 15 players Lost 9 proto suits (my total EHP for my minja suit is only 197 - no defense mods) Wrecked 1 Gallente blaster tank with just the knives with a bit of help from my packed AV nades. Though I died when the tank exploded next to me after I swiped it one last time. Kept scaring off a Caldari Rail tank with my knives. Earned 300,000 ISK 1st place in the roster. I think I kepted stealing Dreis' kills but I don't think I would be able to do this much without him as he was knifing with me. Second Match Manus Peak At least 1000 WP Killed 23 players Lost 5 protosuits (same paper mache but razor sharp fit) Kept OHK-ing heavies left and right that for some odd reason were roaming around in the open on their own. Seriously guys, heavies are meant to be together with the rest of their pack. I think the vast majority of my kills were from lone-wolf heavies. Brought hell to the reds camping in Charlie by their own CRU. 1st place again. Earned 250,000 ISK Poor Dreis died twice to a knifer in the opposite team. I'm now GOD! FEAR ME! I didn't see anything actually, almost every time I died it was from 80-90 meters away with a Rail Rifle...

I killed your buddies a few times and the other knifer was x7 lion, he went 24/5 or something just pure knifing. A rolling nade is worth two in ambush.

That ** would be epic. i HAVE gone and pulled a nova knife killing spree in PC, if you search onslaughts channels you may be able to find a video from it. in the end i went about 24-2 with only 6 smg kills.... ( been a while since ive watched it and im not featured in alot of the video its just my name and infamous snipers in the killfeed with the novaknife kills repeatedly) mind you trying that against a powergamed pack of caldari scouts with shotguns from fatal absolution diddnt work so well so it does depend on what suits your oponent is running rather then what level your oponent plays at, Minmatar is Winmatar

If you want to be a known player you have to put it in the faces of the people who will share it. EB - no offense to them - isn't a corp that is going to enable players to stand out. They have to stand out themselves first. If EB won with any consistency against top corps - people would take notice and take note to whom is helping EB accomplish that. I like the EB guys I know ^_^

We just simply don't have the ISK to gamble OR the moral mentality for going into pubs and exploiting the game to make huge profits. If you want to practice for PC, do it in a goddamn FW match. There are some stacked teams in there sometimes you can face. And we have stood out, on numerous occasions. We helped show Escrow that they couldn't just sit there and tax corps on Planet Fight Club when we didn't want to be taxed. We forced them to take all those districts instead of "renting" them out to smaller corps. ***, I remember when Kain Spero showed up to one of our matches and heysupimpat killed him. If you don't think EB has stood out by now you'd be wrong. We just don't have the manpower and ISK power of corps who are always a presence in Molden Heath and hardly ever lose the majority of their districts. And to be honest... we're gonna lose people and activity to Destiny. We've just always been a small corp that thought big. Eternal Beings* - #76 in All Time WP - #90 in All Time Kills. EB hasn't stood out, when you say you gave ERA trouble, all you mean is you delayed what was bound to happen. Now, if EB had stopped ERA from taking districts completely, that would boost EB's rep - but without consistency that your corp has never shown, to me, you'll never be noticed. Sounds like you like your friends but not there drive - you're in the wrong corp with your ambitions. If I was still around with Anime Empire i would of picked you up for PC this very instant and gave ya a whirl - but it's painful to log on, lol. Your best bet right now is leave and join a top corp - there's just no other way. The only way to be noticed is by them, and they won't see you unless you play with or against them, which won't happen very often because your corp won't put themselves into that position with any regularity, because, like you said, lack of resources. So your only choice is to join them or there enemies who do fight them and get noticed.

I'd say it's about 6 hours of grinding. I usually do split that between the first 3 days, lol. You also have to remember PC SP payouts are bigger, I used to not need to play pubs at all - PC would cap me out each week. Good times.....
