The gun was pretty fun,the reload was smooth and the damage was nice...
But i noticed some very obvious drawbacks: -The 'dumbfire' round explodes in mid flight for no apparent reason. If the reason is fuel it should fly straight,then arc downward as gravity pulls it only exploding after it makes contact with a surface. -The radius is only 1m even though the explosion animation completely covers a merc,meaning its direct hit or bust -Dat breach variant does more damage but less radius,as expected....but with a 1m radius on the normal variant it seems redundant to need to directly hit a target with it when it's advantage should be radius.
Fixes: -Remove the mid air exploding -Increase radius on the normal variant to 3m. -Increase damage of the breach variant

The flaylock is shorted on ammo and range as well as radius yet the bolt pistol has range,ammo capacity,and even damage advantage.
Increasing the radius by 1-2m on an EXPLOSIVE makes sense seeing how splash does 100+damage,it actually makes sense seeing that a force causing such high damage would create enough force for a small radius of explosion.
1+1=2
These aren't directed impact explosions like the breach variant,nor are they as hefty as a MD to increase its radius to such extremes.
Currently the splash focused variant hits for .25m wider than the breach,no other weapon for any race has the breach even remotely close to the other variants.

If it were smart fire the in-flight explosion would make sense to prevent it from being OP. See:Swarms
But dumbfire has no such limitations.Nor an internal fuse. See:IRL tank bullets,or throw a rock

I agree. The large blast radius of the Flaylock is why it got nerfed into oblivion. It needs a mild buff and I fear that any radius increase would be too unbalancing. Lol 'balance'.
The flaylock is amusing to shoot and a good way to point out enemies,but other than that its just a firework launcher.
Increasing damage won't help unless you CAN ACTUALLY HIT SOMETHING. Removing the mid-air explosion won't help unless you CAN ACTUALLY HIT SOMETHING.
TBH the ONLY thing the flaylock needs is radius,considering you're FIRING A BOMB THAT CAN DO 100+ DAMAGE.
It's a BOMB, it's SUPPOSED to be dangerous because of it's EXPLOSION. It's ISN'T supposed to play by projectile rules of needing to be dead on to do any damage. And since it ISN'T currently,it's just a cheaper crapier version of the bolt pistol!

It makes me wonder why have 2 guns that have the same limitations? Yet one actually does better (breach).
