Tired of the same old same old in dust? Aren't we all. Love making noobies rage quit and send hate mail? Boy do i ever! Then its time for Dusties to stand tall stand proud and play it your way! Its not about the K/D or the WP its about the fun so get in that game and start doing what you love not what you do best (unless its something you love). In other words make them cry make them rage and make them send you that lovely rage mail that calls you everything but a kitchen sink. On a serious note its time people started playing the game a little less seriously. Its all good for PC but pubs and FW why bother? Its not like winning a match gives you a cookie or anything so why bother trying? Just enjoy the game and do what you love (before they shut it down for good).

Some people have fun with JLAV or use forgeguns from the roofs, i find this anti fun mechanics because they totally eliminate player skill from the equation.
I have fun playing the game, have good duels, skill against skill, not skill against broken mechanics.

PlC + PAVG gets me tanker hatemail pretty regularly. Don't know why something so tough to pull off induces such rage, but it's lotsa fun. PlC in general is the most fun weapon in the game, alongside the Laser Rifle.

I have always done this. Hence, people hate redline snipers. Why people at once brand a redline sniper as useless and yet so effective at killing them that they get pissed off is beyond me.
Seriously though I moved on from that a long time ago, but the redline sniper remains the pinnacle of having fun your way and not just supporting somebody else's definition of fun.
My definition of fun is organizing and moving much as a real infantry unit. However, silly bunny hop game mechanics and most people being non-military console kiddies destroyed that dream in the first month of play. SoGǪ

Agreed far too many people take it too seriously.
for me the rag doll effects from sniping, especially moving targets
but also the plasma cannon is fun, i like using it but unfortunately i normally get killed by a spider logi crew or some equally serious form of tactic...(sighs)
why don't you people just let me shoot you with my plc it won't hurt..honest

I enjoy making different builds and running with them. Sadly most the time though I'm forced into a role that I don't feel like playing atm because if I don't the blueberries will be stuck in the redline and it will become me vs. 12 while 4 guys mop up the other 15 on my team. Hell that happens sometimes even when I'm trying to be whatever we need. Don't know how many times I am forced to go solo av when there's 2-4 tanks and 1-2 dropships on the damn field and no one is using av only to get raped by the infantry that they can't keep in check either. Or I switch to my nano/uplink logi and get into a good position only to have my team kill over in 10 seconds and have all the equipment fluxed.
But I digress, the reality is the fun is always going to suffer because this is a team game. It's like going on LoL and saying guys just have fun!!. You get tired of being trapped in your base and getting ganked in every lane if your team is ****. |
