As I see it, the shotgun is like the sniper rifle, totally opposite, yet exactly the same.
You need a scout suit to do well with the shotgun, and the same goes with the sniper rifle, you need a commando to use the sniper rifle. |

This brings up a valid point that Commandos should have a 30% damage reduction to Sniper Rifles in order to compensate for that 200% health increase.

See, that's the thing. The only time people actually complain about snipers is when they're in the red line.
The only reason they are in the red line is because the rest of the team is there too.
If you're not near my red-line then I won't be near it either.

I tried using the Militia Rifle for extra insult but the clip is too small for overcoming their heavy suit.
I think you were there for my record distance. He'd just sniped you so I switched fit and got hard up against the redline and saw him. IIRC he was almost exactly 500m deep in the redline (according to the "longest kill" on the end screen). 4 consecutive headshots it took with a BPO rifle and 3 complex damage mods. This was back when they were 10%.
But yeah, I basically only ever counter snipe. Most snipers are terribad and make for easy lolzy kills.

They changed the maps around, but there used to be this sexy line of sight I had on Skim Junction that let me shoot people from 599m away. Really strange, because at 598m you do 90/110 but at 599 you do 40/60 percent damage to shields and armor respectively.

Those were some of my greatest moments in PC back before FF14/GTA V came out and quality matches and quality players started to leave.
I would see an entire squad searching for me in a PC match just to kill me to stop me from sniping.

It lowered my reaction time for close quarters combat, tracking enemies felt weird to me. In many cases I'm sure mouse would be very helpful, in other cases it hurt me.

I guess assault suit sniping will be too much to handle next patch with those 1000+ hp assaults.

I am going to have to build up the Commando in stead of the G-1 and G/1 Lights that I use now. I wish I could fly to get up top where you was at. I run in, hack, drop spawn points and ammo then out to enemy territory to snipe as they try to get rides.
