Breaches you just have to be more precise with.
This is....exaggerated Precision with a slow moving round and a strafing/moving individual is more of a "fun thought". In an open area, using a breach mass driver, you are far far more likely to use splash damage over direct damage. In an open area the target has mobility freedom, they can perceive the round, as it's traveling, and change their movement to avoid it. Basic strafing. You can't predict with enough accuracy, how an individual will react to your shot, to place a shot with enough precision, consistently, to land direct shots.
No, the Breach Mass Driver is the most extremely environmental niche weapon. I have found that it is only reliable in areas with closed lateral space. It's situational to hallways, stairs, and footbridges. These are areas where strafing is very limited so margin for error is decreased thus the breach mass driver becomes a viable choice.
However, you look at other weapons, with much higher DPS, much less margin of error....they can compete toe to toe if not further in the same environment that the breach MD exceeds in. I love the breach MD, it's a classy weapon that sends a message, but it's not as simple as "precision". It's a closed situation weapon where it is still a risky to use because overall, it's unreliable.
Overall if you are lucky enough to land a direct hit, you are even luckier if they died in that one hit.

oh yeah I don't think that mass drivers deal headshot bonus. I think that that is purely a hitscan thing
