On behalf of all my ADS pilots, and after a small incident and some rage, i have decided to make yet another post about buffing ADS' and certain little aspects.
The biggest part is natural motion damage taken by bumping, tapping, and smashing into walls, vehicles, etc...
Just the other day i called in an ADS and an LAV was sitting next to me cause he thought i was getting in. I hopped in my dropship and when i do, this friendly (mind this is public) does a fishtail to turn around and in doing so he slaps his pretty little baloch into the side of my ADS, not really that fast, and went from over 3k ehp to 0-0 instantly and i died.
That was one of the quickest ways to loose half a mill other than getting blind sided by an invisible Bolas.
Love tapping walls opr buildings do more damage to ADS' than any other vehicle in the game, including little brother dropships.
i can move just slight into a wall and take 1k damage to shields in python and do the exact same thing with a myron and only tak 150-300 damage.
Really?....yea i tested them out. (damn near lost an ads trying slow motion wall collisions.
Minus a few bugs where i got the **** rammed out of me when another ADS came flying at me, wailed me 200 meters sideways and survive :P (thank you to whoever had to ram me to try and kill me and failed miserably)
I just feel the Assault dropship shouldnt be as fragile as it is.

No, can't have that, then bumping an ADS wouldn't be as effective, and infantry can't have that, donchaknow. |

I find it funny and frustrating that my python looses about 600-700 shields when I touch down softly with my landing gear deployed at a supply depot. So if landing gear isn't suppose to take that impact then what is it there for? F****** me up when I'm hovering over something and cutting off my engines if they make contact with anything? Ugh... |

Lol, well, at least ADS don't blow up if you touch a building going at 0.00001 mph in the Lag City and when an RDV delievers you one they don't blow up from the fall instantly... oh wait, they do, what was my point again?

Im sorry I am biased , have no love for ads , plus yeah the forge gun does ratlle you , I feel a little sympathetic until you have the pilots screaming way up high abd outrunning swarms .... cant have it all your own way plus th XT1 does have very generous plash damage ... |

Nope. We need RDVs to instagib dropships and we also need RDVs to come down and place dropships so they roll over.
I can't stand how your ship adheres to walls. "Oh, what's that? You wanted to climb? Sorry, you're too close to a wall, I'm just going to let you roll over mid-air instead."
RDVs still need to be redone. But that's too much work when there are only 2 people changing code... which is why Rattati and Logibro as stuck with only modifying the game in a data-entry sort of way.
These changes aren't buffs, they're making the work as it was supposed to two years ago.

Only problem is that a lot of times it doesn't even register as a hit no matter how right on target you hit, so I guess you can call yourselfs lucky because of that, and also it's really easy to avoid getting hit by them if you know the dropship is there, and it's really hard not to know. But I know you are likely to get killed by someone else while avoiding getting hit by ADS.
Anyway, we only outrun Swarms if we can actually see them, most of the time they are invisible for the first 2-3 volleys and there's not even any sound to give it away before you are actually hit, and the next thing you know is you were thrown into a wall. Forge hits and Rail hits can also be invisible. Not to mention the shooter doesn't render and the hit indicator doesn't help. So if you are lucky enough to survive invisible enemy with invisible ammunition, you will run (sometimes straight towards the enemy because you didn't know where he/she was).
Also, you know, if the ADS pilot wants to stay and fight they cannot go and outrun the Swarms, but they will also have to look real close for you till you render, so I understand why most of the ADS pilots run away, me, I'm too stubborn to stay away if I know there's someone trying to kill me even if he is invisible to me. A lot of times it doesn't end well because he had 3 more non-rendering friends close to him that just instapopped me, lol.

so an inbalance of an ADS is fine since 1 type of turrets at PRO stage is OP? (I also agree, it is a little too much and blasters kinda suck, rails doing better now though). but back on topic that like saying that the CPU/PG issue for Assualt units is fine becuse [insert excuse] no, it doesn`t work like that. |
