I been noticing it as well in PS2; nobody wants to play the heavy class there to shoot vehicles up.
Speaking as a noob to both the game (2 months) and the forums (1st post):
I just restarted a new character after I didn't like my first one and now I just graduated the academy. For me it is now a matter of start grinding for ISK to at least buy MLT heavy/forge combo to have in my clone's locker while I skill into it.
I love AV! Did it with my first. In fact, my last battle at the academy saw me shoot down a Gorgon dropship and then the pilot in the head with a hacked railgun turret. I guess my gungame IS getting better. 
Hope that wasn't a training flight...

You can 2 shot a madrugar with a decent forge gun if you shoot at the back in the middle... Dropships can be flung upside down... Thrown into walls... Or if you fire at the back end of a Bus (basically anywhere on the rear half) it will deal massive damage... You can 2 shot most of them if they don't pop hardeners...
So lets say we nerf vehicles because we can... it takes 3 or 4 missles to down a heavy suit... But you're okay with being able to 1 shot vehicles?
Am I misunderstanding something here?
