Place your bets about up to 2million isk on how many knifers it takes to destroy a Hav/Lav,also place an estimate on how much damage it will do and how many swing to make it go boom.I'd say 4 advance knifers to take out a Tank and 3 for a Lav.Damage inflicted is hmmm.............lets see....for someone not a minja with no mods and adding charles damage buff-320-360-420.Man I'm bad at damage math. ....and final 16-18 knife swings well place your bets and answers below.Also get the Tank/Lav correct gets you an extra 1million isk.

One thing that is saving you tankers is players can be brushed off vehicles just by moving. If players stuck longer to vehicles when on top of them we'd have an interesting situation on our hands.

Max prof minja with ishnoks does 1437 fully charged both swipes hitting.
Thats 719 damage a pop.
It'll work best on armor tanks as they can't run away as fast. Also, if you can jump on top....

Something I have been asking the community since I first saw them in the open beta.
The breakdown:
Based on lore: They are Gallente
Based on combat doctrine: They are Gallente
Based on manufacturer: They are Caldari
Based on primary user: They are Minmatar
It's like a Ford truck (say the F-150, very American) being made in China and being used in Paris, France as a casual vehicle.

Assuming tanks are using old fashioned steel plates or any plate with a plating with a melting point less than that of the temperature of plasma, Nova knives should be able to cut through them like butter.

Yes, but it two completely different ways. The blaster superheats the round to plasma and then fire it, while the railgun fires it as a slug via electromagnets.
Did you also know that the Gallente developed rail technology, not the Caldari? The Caldari signature weapon is technically the missiles, not the railgun which they borrowed from the Gallente. |

Caldari and Gallente had a shared technology background (as caldari state used to be part of the federation) it is not unusual for the two to continue making weapon systems the other can use and often the shared mixed groups between the two nations often employ the best of both worlds where possible.
Caldari's aspect over the nova knife is probably how WELL it can contain its plasma over the probable Gallente knife that would focus more on plasma generation instead. It would not surprise me if the gallente knife if ever introduced doesn't' feature a charge function.
