It'll take: a lot.
You'll have to not log in for like 3 to 4 months to unlock all dat. The suit, weapon, and equipment, I mean.
If you just want the suit for the damage bonus, don't even bother. As much as I like Michelin, the suit is very squishy and slow. Plus, he's brighter than an atomic bomb when detonated.
Your call, though. |

Your call, though. Makes me wonder how CCP is going to address that commando color scheme across the other racial suits. It does seem like they reduced the size of its thighs.

They could make them all red like the Amarr .
I can't see too many getting upset about that .
The Amarr Commando is one of the best looking suits , not even at proto just basic and advanced .
Proto just looks all the more better .
You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

With an extra low and a regulator , that suit would be just right .
It is squishy though and could use some speed .
All the Commando's could use a speed boost .
You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

The truth is with 10% damage bonus from lvl 5, 15% damage from level 5 rail rifle +3 5% damage mods= +40% to rail rifles at proto.
Lol.....everything is squishy against that.
But you are clearly better at hiding than fighting so the damage bunus onlt scares you.

Squishy, slow, and ugly(actually, so am I) but I love it. Definitely a range fighter, so I stick to Domination and ambush, and pick my spots in CQC. Wish they would give it the same colors as the Caldari assault lineup. It's not like you could confuse the two.

Some maps are very difficult to assault as a heavy once the enemy is entrenched, like the bridge map, so I went Cal Commando with a RR and Magsec. A bit more effective.

Damage mods have a stacking penalty so 3x 5% does not equate to a flat 15% boost. If it was that easy, everyone would be running 3x damage mods still. 15% flat damage is a lot, especially when you have weapons like a breach shotgun that do excessive damage. |

Look at the skill multipliers for all the skills you want. 1x is roughly 1 week capped out. So add them all up and you'll have a quick rough estimate of the time it'll take to get your stuff.
Destiny won't kill Dust.
CCP already did that.

Thanks everybody i cant decide amarr combat or caldari commando ilike both so what do you think i should use? I think ammar combat is cheaper than caldari commando and i think i could control all the battle field with it bot i think caldari commando would cover my team and kill at better distance but i think is more camper than others sweets |

I use both. On a alt I have a pro Amarr on my main adv Cal. If you want proto and still thinking about costs you prob dont want to take it proto. besides, commando's are useless without your core skill.
On topic. The Amarr is beast at range with the laser rifle. CQC the scrambler is really good if you're not cockeyed and can aim. The Cal's biggest weakspot is the 1 low. but is faster than the Amarr and has great shield regen abilities. Again if you do your core first. Although the Cal relies on ranged weapons, my personal opinion is that you can fit it more as a brawler than you can do with the Amarr. it's hard to choose tbh. Commando's are pretty much the most balanced suits if you compare them to each other tbh. |

Though with that fit you'd have absolutely no buffer or regen, so It's a scrub fit for anything other than Sniping.

I wouldn't say the Calamando is a 'camper' fitting... I mean, I guess it can be, but having a really good ranged combat fitting is important, otherwise you'll never be able to assault or defend certain maps. I chose a long range fit intentionally, as a complimentary fitting to my short-range heavy Punch... now I can go either short or long, depending on what the map calls for.
But Jack is right, unless your Dropsuit Core Upgrades is pretty much all at 5, commando may not be the suit for you, just yet. You can get away with using other suits with your cores not fully completed, but not commando. Might want to spend your SP there, or wait and see how the assault suits turn out in a month or so.
