How about instead of staring at the ground for 20 seconds after you die waiting for a revive, you instead replay the moments before your death from what your opponent saw (with the oppertunity to skip it, of course)? Firstly, I feel that this could help in improving player skill by showing them their mistakes so that they will be more aware and mindful next time. Secondly, it's gotta be better than eyeing up dirt for 20 seconds, right? And lastly, I'd love for my prey to see my awesome knife kills!!!
Well, I once meleed an R.E.. That's all you need to know about me...

Hmmm.... Not for me...
I'm not a sniper, and I'ld enjoy see it, but when sniper kill you, you could see where he is, so the sniper would not have 3sec more to survive.. Because of you could see his position...
Ho yeah Love you Rattati!

No. We do not need killcams.
Such a thing would completely ruin clever positioning because oh look, you know exactly where they are when they kill you.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

No. It'll cause more anger than you know, seeing an enemy shoot you when you run around a corner, and aim assist making the bullets kill you. Plus this would be a client update

Maybe instead of kill cams, we have an end game highlight reels of the best and most bad ass moments of the game? One time I jumped out of a DS just to shotgun a couple people off the building and my DS fell and exploded on a couple of the enemies... That is something I would want the enemy to watch. |

Considering I'm coming back to Dust after Hotfix Charlie is released, I have to say "hell no" to kill cams. It's such a cheap way of gaining intel and it punishes snipers who went through all the trouble of finding and settling in an optimal spot. And I was a constant victim of snipers before I went into a hiatus.
Anyone who asks for it is not honestly planning to use it to get better. They're just asking for it because they want targets handed to them on a silver platter without effort put into it.

Ok, since it could ruin positioning during the game, how about being able to review your deaths after the battle? Surely then there would be no problem with it, right?

What about the remaining 10% or fewer of the snipers that DO snipe legitimately. They do exist you know.
@OP
Overall, kill cams of any kind, whether it's during battle or after battle, are a terrible mechanic for lazy players who don't want to be bothered with having to actually guesstimate where the target was shooting from. In dust, you are given a death report at the moment of your death which tells you the distance and type of weapon the sniper used. Others who were near you and observed your death would at least be able to see the bullet trail. And if the sniper fails at OHKing you, your damage indicator will give you the general direction of the shot. From there you can guess where the sniper is at and work your way from there. It's not hard at all.
And if the sniper is in the redline, all the better for me because I specialized already in sprinting into the redline just to stab them. It's possible since a Minmatar scout can sprint just over two football fields in 20 seconds.

those who snipe legitimately i have respect for while still hateing being stung in the ass while performing my duty as the team legi.
ps i do use the damage direction notifation to get a guesstimation of where they may be, but when i start to hunt for them they have already bugged or are in the redline

I normally can go out to a sniper's position with a shotgun to deal with them, what is with all these tears I see about redliners?
