just pointing out that the community got rid of this once before....
to all of the drivers, be warned they will start to complain about it soon, start to stop the tactic now and you may avoid any drastic measures.
to ccp i just want to say that players are starting to abuse this again now, last night i was in a map with 3/4 lavs just doing murder taxi, if you want r.v's then make it so that is what they are, otherwise please don't let this get out of hand like it used to be.
i don't care too much but is annoying when they were sorted out once already. |

Murder Taxis were only an issue before because LLAVs were nearly unkillable with traditional methods Current LAVs are far easier to kill. Swarms, AV Grenades, Proxy Mines, Plasma Cannons....they all work just fine. |

a murder taxi is only as effective as you let them be.. get those swarms and grab your crotches as you blow the LAVs up.. in all honesty it seems to be the only vehicle that CAN be blown up latly with out ramming or jihad jeeping

Don't forget that the original Murder Taxi squadrons showed a distinct tendency to Team Kill. So, first they removed that, then the weird/wrong physics for the front of tanks and they removed the indestructible Logi LAVs. Using the current LAVs as Murder Taxis are all capable of being destroyed. As stated above, the difference is significant.

The only problem with current murder taxi-ing is that AV grenades are just terribad. Unless you're using Proto (which is unreasonable in a public format) you're not doing anything to the LAV, especially if it's a Heavy taxi that hops out, guns you down in 0.00000001 second then drives off in their slightly damaged vehicle.
In other words, AV grenades should be able to wreck militia/BPO LAVs unless properly fitted. Currently, an unfitted LAV can just laugh at AV grenades.

Really you should be using these morons to your advantage. You get 150 WP damage points and 40 for the destruction of a baloch. That's big points for one person who is easy to bait.

I can 2 shot most shield LAVs with a standard plasma cannon. They usually go for the slow commando in the middle of the road, after that it's just like a bull fight. I'm always amazed that they come around for a second pass after I hit them once and drop them into mid armor. |

Don 't get me wrong, i have no problem with current m.ts, my plasma, fluxes and hmgs enjoy chewing them up.
they really are not in the same league as the logi taxies of yore
My heads up here. Stems from the round above where everyone was getting attacked. By 3 taxis working together, at which point I did the decent and went a.v.
I merely point out that this style of play will get complaints again and that I wouldn't like to see them come back in full. |

i agree about the AV nade part.. maybe 2x the damage or let us carry 4 of them.. same for Flux too!

I hover over my 8000isk Imwalkinhere fit as I watch map to see what track he is racing
Spawn in the road (or close as possible) and wait
Throw my 2 packed av on the ground in front of me as he rounds turn 3
Laugh as he runs over packed nades then blap with PLC (lvl I)

Dude, those guys were running a self organised Death LAV event 
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change
