Ok you want common sense from people responding to you ? Where is the common sense in your way of nerfing snipers? A sniper rifle in all intended purposes is ment to be used from guess what "LONG RANGE" oh sh!t that's right i said "LONG RANGE".
That means that it is supposed to be used outside of a range of further out then any weapon can reach. A sniper is supposed to hide high up and kill people when they least expect it. Only in games that are twitch shooters expect a sniper rifle to be be able run around and quick scope snipe people because that is how they are designed to be used.
What you are trying to do is get sniper nerfed to the point that it is usless as intended.
This sounds more like a QQ thread from a person that gets killed by snipers and is trying to make it easier for him to kill them.
Can i ask what games you played before you started playing dust? By chance does it have CoD in its name? |

NO. Any increase in damage for sniper rifles will disproportionately hurt new(er) players more so than vets due to the HP differences between suits (number of slots) and modules.
Easy fix: Give tactical SRs the zoom/range of the Thales. Give regular SRs the zoom/range of the current tactical versions. Give charge SRs the lowest zoom ability but keep their range similar to the other versions.
In essence, give snipers a better chance of landing the valuable headshot instead of being able to plug away at the enemy repeatedly.

Well I've said what i think would fix snipers...what do you guys think?
Also, please include some fix that makes redline sniping worse than straying into being killable.

Redline is not a sniper only thing and I don't think the class should be balanced around it.
You can OB the redline, ADS can spawn camp while flying into it, tanks can hide in it as well. Sometimes the best place to snipe is in the red line thanks to poor map design. Address this elsewhere.

The sniper rifle problem isn't the rifle itself, its bad map design and bad rendering and hit detection. Fix these and it becomes a much better weapon. |
