I toss my explosive like a frisbee and press the det button. 1/2 the animation plays and no boom. I was expecting an earth shattering kaboom! Not to mention sentinels can already tank res so there's that... Sentinals do not have enough hps to tank a RE. I have been killed many times by these annoying frisbee's myself.
Amen to this! Remotes have wrecked my plans many times. Even when I see them, I'm too slow to put distance between me and it. Cloaked shotguns have taken me out. Peekaboo tactics, even in close quarters, have done me in.
I've been out ranged by rail rifles, scrambler rifles, assault rifles, combat rifles, laser rifles, sniper rifles, potato rifles, spitball rifles, and any other rifle CCP has decided to throw into this game. I've even been out damaged by SMGs within my effective HMG range on a few occasions (go figure that one). Flux and shoot players have gotten me. Locus and shoot players have gotten me. Mass drivers have gotten me. Nova knives have gotten me. I've succumb to the Scrambler pistol dance of death, the MagSec two shot tango, the Flaylock BS barrage (back in its day)... etc, etc, etc...
I'm a level 5 (across the board) dedicated heavy. I do some other things, but heavy is my raison d'etre. I've been a heavy since I started this game over a year ago. I was a heavy when heavies weren't cool. And Dust is my first ever FPS, so admittedly I'm not as good as some others who have more FPS experience. I've been killed a lot of ways: some I understand, some still baffle me (I just chalk those confusing deaths up to bad game mechanics and move on). I'm not complaining about that...
...Though what I am saying with all of the above is: if you haven't found an effective way to outdo a heavy, have you tried turning your Playstation on? Myriad fatty slaying options open up to you once that little green light shines. Many good players have demonstrated this fact on me time and time again.

Its the ridiculously overpowered HMG that needs balancing more than anything else. Vitharr Foebane wrote:This is gonna sound crazy but ill say it anyway... why dont you wait until the effects of hot fix charlie are felt. IE the cpu/pg reductions, HMG heatup rate increase, and proto HMG range nerf.
P.S. On a side note, do you complain when killed by a LR user wielding his weapon in the proper manner, at 90-104 meters on wide open no cover areas. Why do people blame the HMG users for fighting where their weapon is most effective... Because it's unfair, and stupid, and heavies are just a bunch of stupidheads for shooting people with their stupid HMG with its stupid bullets and their stupid killing on this stupid game with stupid AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGG NERF HEAVIES!!!

Dat logic... and you'd wrather have a post from someone who didn't use this suit? I've used it. it's too powerful and requires *less* skill to use than any of the other suits ( with the exception of logistics) I will have to politely disagree with you... A Sentinel does require skill, It is big, slow, ewar blind, has no equipment, and if properly equipped(HMG) has the lowest range of any main weapon. The skill involved is finding ways to minimize to negetives. It is one of the most specialized suits in the game and has only two roles CQC monstrocity and making pilots soil soil themselves. The definition of sentinel is defender and if the suit can't do that what good is it? that suit is not a great defender, but the thing plays offense like none other. note that I said less skil, not no skill. the reason for requiring less skill is because all the other suits have to deal with these players blasting bullets at supersonic speeds. with the exception of logistics who follow these beasts loyally. yes, they require skill, but less skill than it takes to operate other suits. Thurak1 wrote: LEARN TO USE MOBILITY TO YOUR FAVOR! Heavies are big slow moving targets. if you seriously cant take out a heavy you need to delete dust and retire from these forums because in all honesty you will never be able to actually contribute anything that would be constructive. I am pretty sure most drop suits at different levels are very similar in cost comparison. What is really op is how militia tanks cost less than most dropsuits not even proto dropsuits. You want to complain about cost your totally barking up the wrong tree. I dont say this often but dam fool get good and htfu.
note that everoyne killed by a heavy couldn't kill said heavy.... So then heavies should kill no one.

Arcturis Vanguard wrote:Ewar scouts should be the only viable option for dust. Maybe we can buff the assaults enough to get players into those suits for easy trolling kills to make us feel like we are awesome at video games.
Heavy suits are a burden in this game and should just be deleted. Or if we must keep the suit, Make it so the suit cannot jump. I like the idea that they can only turn left and takes then at least 3 full seconds to completely turn full circuit. Hmg needs to have an optimal of 10 meters and effect of 12 meters. The damage should be so severe that between 10-12m it takes a full clip to kill a base ehp scout suit, that is of course ALL bullets connect, and have to factor in the new heat build up for Charlie.
All heavies are scribe that cannot aim and need high HP buffers. They shouldn't be able to be an offensive unit in any way but solely defensive, which is perfect because if they cannot kill in an offensive manner then cannot kill to hold a point which is perfectly sound in reasoning.
Need the role please ccp, what everyone is saying of the forums is correct. Heavies never die and are breaking this game and for real, for real unfair and overpowered. The community has spoken. ^EXACTLY! And heavies shouldn't get any presents for Christmas either! Add that to hotfix Delta or Echo and Cc Santa via email. (Stupid heavies!)
