History lesson:
When in Closed beta Chromosome, I'm sure the vets will remember this, but we were promised hot fixes almost casually as problems progressed in game. This was around the time Lasers were OP beyond reason. Took them 3 months to fix it.
Then flylock spam - another 3 months.
Nades insta exploding? 1 month.
Forge guns not shooting? Another month
passive stats upgrades not implying? Did they even fix this?
Railguns not firing? Still working on it.
The list goes on.
Now, let's go back and see if CCP directly handles problems that directly inflict problems on the player base - such as cheating in a tournament that went on for over a month. OH - wait! They allowed cheating!
See, I don't get why you can put up with it anymore Aeon - CCP is beyond help. When they sell out to Activision or EA and have there management team completely replaced - then we'll have hope around here again.

When they sell out to Activision or EA and have there management team completely replaced - then we'll have hope around here again. Was really drunk last night so I couldn't respond to this coherently, but I think CCP would sooner just kill the franchise (Dust, not Eve) sooner than selling the rights to someone like Activision or EA. Especially EA. I put up with it because... Well, I still have hope. It's dwindling, sure, but I still have hope. One of the things I plan on doing here in the near future is offering up ISK rewards to Portuguese players who are fluent in English so we can get a fully localized and translated Wiki for Dust 514 going that players can be directed to. With any luck, might be able to get that as a community spotlight or something. Was talking with Saberwing about it before the layoffs and I think it could still happen if I brain the new CPM enough about it. Get in contact with Pud and Vice - they're well hooked up in the spanish speaking communities. I'm sure they'll know some Ports too.
And I don't see how you have any hope at all - Each big patch we put all our hopes in, Uprising, Fanfest patch notes, ext, has turned into the worst things we've come across. Every promised 'big news! Be prepared!" we get - turns into CCP shitting on to the point if I look up all I can see if there crap blocking my view.
I can count on one hand how many friends I have left who still play this game. The concept that made it special - Plantary Conquest - is now in other games. CCP had a unique concept and they dropped the ball because of terrible management - and what's worse, they don't agree that's the problem! The management refuses to handle itself, there is no hope here.
I can't even imagine what CCP could do to rebuild trust with those who gave them years just to be **** on. This isn't like Incarna with EvE - you still have EvE and what it's about - we got the middle finger and told they're packing up and going else where - complete abandonment.

Next time for CPM 2 i wouldn't waste a moments time on the forums, i think a lot of candidates had a great message to relay but doing so over a sub forum of a pretty dead forum itself was a real waste of time.
We did a moderate bit of campaigning for Judge on my channel and put Darkstar Army at his back, seems to have worked well and when compared to much more 'active' alliances who seem to not even come out for their leaders / candidates to the same level, I was quite surprised at that.
I think perhaps we underestimated how active youtube is for dust players.
Still if we are all still here in a years time, id urge you to run again, you had some great messages and ideas so please dont lose faith entirely dude. no one underestimated youtube - you guys overestimate dust's remaining population that gives a crap.
Let me give you the total count - take the total votes, subtract Judges votes - that's the community size.
