Nothing but trouble about them lately and constant input on what players think a scout should do.. In Dust514 the main objective is clone terminating so all suits should fulfil this role, from Scouts - Heavies I know as well as any player how the receiving end of slayer-scouts ends up and they frequently get spammed. But they are one of the most fun and worthwhile roles that can be played in Dust514, because they can kill ...
To reduce the scouts ability in combat too much (I do think a scout with over 500 hp should be impossible) would leave it as yet again the most punishing suit to use in combat.. forcing more players out of the game or their suit.
ShayZ has a good post on the scouts in general but it is biased against the suits and requesting that other suits have an natural advantage over the scout suit. which they already have in terms of HP
One quote, 'A scout should not be able to dance around a heavy' this is false.. Yes a Scout should be able to take a heavy Scout V Heavy has always been a clash in combat and they are both the biggest dangers to each other.. To greatly reduce the effectiveness of Scouts will just drive more players into Heavy or Logi roles as they are already the primary role you see every battle.... and the worst for being spammed to EZ hold down objectives
- Other than that, Shayz makes some good points like possibly reducing the regen on scouts.
But the main thing out of focus with scouts is bonuses and not just ours (Scouts) but all roles More bonuses need to be in place to reward using your native modules ..
Assault - Modules - HP, DMG mods, Biotics, Ewar (Make assault the jack-of-all-trades combat suit)
Heavy - Modules - HP buff/repair (Make them the monsters they need to be)
Logi - Modules - Ewar, HP buff/repair (Make them the viable choice to support a squad)
Scouts - Modules - Ewar/Biotics (A scout does not require stacked hp modules, we should be forced away from that)
If we had bonuses that could either reduce cost of using aligned modules , or increase effectiveness this would go a long way towards keeping suits in their intended roles and require more squad play.
But note the rage when tankers say it requires another tank to take them on... it shouldn't The same goes for Heavies, I should not be forced to use one to fight one.. they need counters (Scouts)

If changes in Charles fail to do away with Assault Lite, Scouts will push for the following: * implementation of efficacy-based racial bonuses for Scouts (specific to ewar or biotics) * implementation of severe armor-plate penalties when equipped on Scouts (excluding ferro/reactive)
My average scout fit runs at 300 hp, at proto level i'd have 400 ... This is because I opt for my scouting modules over hp modules as they affect my speed
And the biggest **** about it is I am punished for doing so as the biotics pg costs are crazy But then I can stack 700 hp easier than I make my Scout fittings with half that hp.......
Why?? Should it not be easier to set-up my Scout fits (300hp) rather than combat fits (600hp)... Why am I punished for fulfilling my role while others run around giving scouts a bad name??

You win by your ability to fight or die, hence clone termination being the dominant factor... Defending the objectives required for winning involves killing, which all suits in Dust right now should accomplish

Defending the objectives required for winning involves killing, which all suits in Dust right now should accomplish Sometimes that's true and sometimes it's not. I've had plenty of games where one team was getting absolutely slaughtered but still won because they managed to hold the objectives and I'm talking matches where they were down to less than 50 clones while the losing team had over 100. The other team was far better at killing and if it were the dominant factor then they would have won but it wasn't and they lost.
So the team that got cloned but defended the objectives .... how did they defend those objectives?? My guess is they were killing the guys attacking the objectives, while your blues were out getting stomped..
Clones Terminated.
