Not going to happen, stop asking for it. If you trained your character right, suit changes affect you for a few weeks at best. If you trained your character wrong, that's your fault. |

Because fixes and patches make the whole game shift so much that even just one race of suits and weapons can make everything you have worked for and waited for obsolete. So? Eve Online players suffer the same thing every expansion and they never, during their 11-year history, asked for a respec.
Oh, people ask for it all the time, they get the same response.

If you trained your character wrong, that's your fault. While I'm not asking for a respec, nor do I think CCP should ever give respecs again, It's not someone's fault if they trained their character "wrong." It's not like there's a tutorial or an indepth encyclopedia of Dust gameplay mechanics and terminology. You forget that for a lot of new players, the way they learn is trial and error (and unfortunately sometimes there's a lot of error). Many of the vets and forum players don't have to worry about that too much because they're reaping the benefits of the forums vast accumulation of Dust knowledge and experience. And if you say, well, the blueberries better get on the forums, you also have to remember that there is almost no notification of the forums in the actual game. No "come join the forums for more information" etc etc. I bet many don't even know the forums exist or if they do, don't know that it is anything more than people talking about anime or roleplaying (which there's surprisingly little of).
You're right, there's no tutorial and I agree the NPE isn't the best but come on. If you're looking at the skill tree and see skills that give you more PG, CPU, Armor, Shield regen you might not stop and think "Hmmm, I bet those might help me more that running straight to proto suits?" If you don't use logic, no amount of tutorial will help you.
When I started playing EVE, the corp I joined had just been war dec'ed. I hopped in a shuttle and sat 100 off the station to watch the fighting. I thought "Why would anyone kill a shuttle, I'm not a combat ship" Took about 2 minutes to be slapped with the error of my ways. Ship destroyed, pod destroyed. station...
Dust is the same way. If you can't look at what's in front of you, maybe you should ask questions. It's the mentality that people try and insult others with when saying "Go back to CoD, kiddie" Most people aren't used to a FPS that doesn't hold your hand and lead you along a progression path. The fact that most FPS do the progression for you is what I hate most about them. I want to make a decision on how I PLAY THE GAME, not how the developers think I should (to some extent anyways). I don't need that stupid sight or this gun I'm NEVER going to use.
edit: also, what game now a days doesn't have forums?
edit 2: also, if someone doesn't want to get involved in a corp, that's their choice but their missing out on that wealth of knowledge the bittervets have to pass down. |

No it doesn't.
I'm a logi and my KD/R is below, but near, 1. most the times it a .96-.98, I'm never going to get into a high level match that way unless you like that my 45 mil SP gal pro logi / pro forge / pro ADS would be in matches for players with > 1.0 KD/R |
