Like caldari to go with my eve player race. But it's obvious to me and i'm sure to you, if you do play that is, the you can see whole squads and corps in any mode run around with all samey stuff because it is OP. The right place and time my advanced stuff can kill protos but when 6 guys in the same suit, weapons and who know what else steam roll the whole team, it's pretty stupid. "Send in the...clones"
Sad thing about most of what your feeling here is completely based on assumptions.
Those same players in a squad that steam roll your team would have the same outcome if they all had plasma cannons. Or if they all had ion pistols and nova knifes.
That is the difference in player level, skill points and team work that is just on a different level then the average Pub is ready for.
Most of these players have their core skills maxed or near to, then worked on proto weaponry. Maximizing the isk investment you make into items, or making them the most isk efficient they can be. CCP can nerf any suit or weapon, with solid core skill your ability to adapt to anything is pretty easy.
In anygame where there is constant development, skill and items get tweaked all the time. This has been happening since the beginning of persistent gaming worlds. Every player gets affected the same and then are forced to adapt and learn the new circumstances around it.
But that actually keeps the game fresh.
In a game like Counterstrike, where everyone is put on equal footing instantly and then have to fight it out with player skill, weapons will have a self balancing mechanism that works with the game to make a somewhat even playing field of choice.
Where DUST is Rock, Paper, Scissors. Meaning everything has a counter essentially, no matter how good you are at some point your stuff will just let you down versus someone that has a perfect counter to your fit.
The argument that everyone is running the same suit and weapon in pubs make most vets laugh.. Other then some red line bullshit, those circumstances are the easiest to create massive killing streaks.
Dust was never ever meant to be the person with the best aim or gear always wins. It has always been the smartest player wins. |
