The bulk of that game is running around shooting AI, which frankly sucks. And from reviews I've seen and read, the PVP is bland. Maybe it will get better, who knows.
I'm gonna put Destiny into the category of "Games that will kill Dust" right along side GTA V, Assassin's Creed, Titan Fall, BF4, COD Ghosts, Dark Souls II and Watch Dogs.
We all know these games didn't kill Dust and neither will Destiny. Only CCP can kill Dust.
DArk souls II was not here to kill dust. Its a different kind of game. I must admit, i didnt play for MONTHS because i was playing DS2, but now im back.
I dont even KNOW what destiny is: Im a loyal/hardcore gamer. I choose one FPS , a RPG and a couple of Fighting games nad play them until the community dies.
Right now i have DS2, MK9 & Injustice , and since all of ya are still here, DUST514.
I need nothing else. well..maybe a respec so i can have my Cal Scout Sp back...

This. Its going to be a good game, but not if you fool yourself into believing its going to be worthy of aGOTY (Although, all games released this year have been pretty ****, so it might just slip past. Even DkS 2 was terrible in comparison to DkS and Demons')
Ds2 comment hurt but true.Demon Souls is still tha best and believe it or not i think Dark souls was simply well balanced.

From what I hear, there is no Medic/Support class (instant dealbreaker for me), and the vehicles can only be killed by other vehicles or turrets, meaning no AV to play around with.

LEt me see, two days ago i was running around with a Minmatar sentinel with 2 Mybrofil Stimulants and 2 Kinkats Meleeing people to death like the freakn hulk.
Sometimes i play as full stealth Gal scout with my SMG, my main role.
Sometimes i play with R/E,Like making a jihad LAV but instead of using it to ram tanks i drive it in closed objectives see who tries to hack it or get close to it XD
Sometimes i snipe to troll people
Sometimes i use the PC as a shotgun XD
Sometimes i have GREAT games and other times ,those hard games where going positive is already considered a win.
All and all. I HAVE fun playing dust...as sh1tty as it might be.
With a respec option i would have even MORE fun changing complete loadouts and trying out ridiculous stuff but the community and CCP are against ti so...

Good to hear....but I am the opposite. Tanking is shallow and boring after a good 8 months of the same bullshit and lack of vehicle parity with now hope on the horizon. Destiny while heavily casualised and lacking sand box gameplay is pretty, has a great soundtrack, is pretty, appears full constructed in a way Dust 514 never will be, and is a fine distraction.... Not to mention to PvP playerbase is garbage and I can wreck on foot...without vehicles with sublime ease.

As a FPS you know im here for the guns not the tanks ;)
