Allow for players to inflict damage and rep the MCC again.
Doing so would: 1. Give tankers a role - Rails to inflict high damage on the enemy MCC, Blaster to destroy the rail tanks and Missle tanks to do a bit of both
2. Give DS pilots an important role - transporting logis onto the friendly MCC, removing tanks from the playfield, dropping AV teams in behind enemy rail/missle tankers, dropping squads of heavies/scouts with RE's onto the enemy MCC
3. Give Logis an additional role by repping the MCC to the best of their abilities
4. Give snipers an obvious role - taking out those pesky repping logis on top of the MCC
5. Create 2 battles within the battle - objective taking/holding and MCC attacking/defending
6. Places a greater importance on AV and gives a reason to call in tanks on those maps where the majority of the fighting happens indoors.
- Have an MCC damage WP reward for Tankers, Forge gunners, DS pilots, but must be a very low amount. - Considerably lower the WP reward for repping the MCC... or have a limit to the amount of WP rewarded within a certain time span - Allow swarms to lock onto the enemy MCC (if you can get close enough) - Possibly give the MCC's a passive resist to their armour, but just enough to keep null cannons as the more effective means to take down an MCC.
Thoughts/suggestions? Would this be possible CCP Logibro/Rattati? |

How so? MCC's being susceptible to damage/reps from players in current Dom and Skirm is surely doable? |

I like it but that seems too specific for me.
I'm more inclined to see HAV as a platform for heavy fire power.... be that AV or AI.... but that's not really a role......

My thoughts were more to add to the rail/missile tank "role" and place a greater importance on tactically utilising them (as opposed to just a red line/border sniping, turrent destroying unit) and defending them should a blaster/missile try to defend their MCC. |

No. Sounds like that horrible map in Dom with the tower soaring to new lows.
However, Legion should incorporate Valkyrie or something like it, and give the AV infantry something else to do.

If they buff installations like they hinted at a few weeks ago, that might help give them a role. Or if they reduced the WP for killing installations and made them respawn semi-frequently.
Not the best of ideas, but ideas nonetheless.
If further development and client updates were possible I'd have at least 8 text-wall posts written on how to do it, but...

We were still able to damage the MCC in 1.6; a railgun could hit the turret of the MCC and deal damage that way.
It should be trivial to restore it, and to restore the old repair animations.
I don't think you'd get much mileage out of repping at the moment what with a railgun having like 900DPS and a repair tool having like 150 HP/S at most.
It would seem like wisdom, but for the warning in my heart...
