she/ he probably had help. Whenever I see a tank shooting at an installation or vehicle I shoot with my rifle also. Sometimes (if I'm very very lucky) I'm the one to do the last 1-2 hp points of damage and I get the kill while the other person gets an assist. lol.
But yeah, there was probably something shooting you from another part of the map. Sucky. |

I couldn't help but hypnotically watch my dropship shield and armor waste away as the soldier on the ground pelted my bird with small arms fire until the alarm blared and my ship burst into flames.

Yes I dismounted and made quick work of him.
So now you know.
Since you were going to let them shoot you down, you should of just let yourself die in the dropship, that would of easily let you know what was actually shooting you. |

I think it's a glitch, I have been at the flight ceiling, so far in my own redline, that another redline turned up.
And I started taking damage, it felt sounded like I was being pelted with a rifle of sorts.
It dropped my shields so I flew beneath my MCC to recall my craft, the damge stopped at 20m altitude I had 75% of my armour left. There was nothing nearby and I wasn't shot at while recalling.
My next craft didn't suffer from the same problem, but if it happens again I'm gonna submit a support ticket.
Hope that helps explain it? Maybe?
