Just buff the amarr scout. I don't want my suit becoming fotm as it will end up nerfed.

Have you people even looked at the numbers? Am scout will not become fotm because it can not permascan everything like the current cal can. It only has 2 highs can only reach 18 dab meaning All scouts can beat it if they sacrifice and heavily damp. Cal still has 4 highs for precision and can reach a similar precision if it wants. Cal is getting mega range 10% per lvl and dampening bonus.
Gal logi with a focused scanner will be the strongest scan now. This is a good thing because it's equipment. Must be used. Has a cooldown. Gives warning that you have been scanned. All scouts can beat this scanner now too but must dedicate their lows to damps and have a proto cloak. Actual balance
Current cal gets ultra scanning(only completely dedicated gal proto scout could hide) , can hide from All scouts except itself crazy shield regen and shield totals with no speed penalty.
Couple that with shared passives 3 heavys and. 2 logis nd cal was way too op.
The new numbers look really good and only former assaults who jumped to scout and whiny little ***** cals are crying

Just assault suits made relevant and put into the balance equation like everyone warned CCP long before 1.8 was implemented.
Sadly Rattati was left with the crap job of getting through the bullshit and making it work now.
Right now the Caldari scout and Gallente scout have obsoleted the Assault class.. Not because they are godly suits. But because the Assault suits are just that bad and have been getting worse for 7-8 months.
Rattati's main challenge is making the Assault class relevant but not make them a giant FOTM. CCP has never been able to do it yet. |

Those same people actually lack the gun game, awareness, skill and anticipation to take em out and adapt to different playing styles. That's why most good players skill into different suits and modules first instead of all the weapons and build a fit around a chosen suit and not around a weapon.

Too many players want to use the same suit and fit all the time and cry when someone counters them. These are the same type of players that scream something is OP because they never try to properly counter anything.

If you haven't seen the numbers you have no right to complain about them. The changes are well deserved, cal scouts will no longer perma scan yet, amarr scouts become very good at close ramge scanning.

Haha, as someone who runs the suit that's getting changed, who the fk are you?.
I was told by someone who is usually reliable that the cal bonus was going to amarr. This person is usually 100% accurate.

Here is the problem.
2 scout races had roles that were usable.
2 got left behind.
In order to make ALL scout suits viable in competitive and public play, these changes needed to happen.
Rattati had to deal with constraints of a crappy ewar system that cannot be easily changed, like shared scanning, and made the best changes he could.
Amarr will get precision and stamina.
Caldari get range and dampening
Gallente get dampening and precision
Minmatar get hacking and knives.
The reason that cal and gal get the bonuses they do is because of a restrictive slot layout, so that they are still encouraged to use something in the lower slot count side that is ewar beneficial without being gimped by the low slot count.
It is very balanced against all sides.
Now scouts will be forced by Amarr and Gal Logi Focused Scanners to fill up slots with EWAR instead of tank, and FOTM scouts will be less of a problem.
This also gives more room for assaults, who will also be getting a buff that I hope is as well rounded and effective as the scout changes seem to be.

Ach after the removal of the precision scan my Cko scout will see everythingabove 8 db at 52 m so heck ill still be able to play as I am but with a bit more dampening.

Incase you don't realise, this means caldari is loosing 1/2 it's bonus. You still have the ultra wide scans, but your prescsion will be undoubtedly higher, meaning more suits will pass undetected unless you are prepared to sacrifice your tank. BALANCE.
Amarr on the other hand are recieving that 1/2 so they have shorter range scanning at much higher prescsion. If you want a better scan radius you must sacrifice your main tank. BALANCE.
So once again, no the caldari are not loosing ALL of their bonuses, only half and yes it is being given to the Amarr. Scouts will no longer be capable of avoiding a Focused Scanner unless they are cloaked.
Please do not base your feedback of hearsay and word of mouth it's very easy to only get half a picture and make a fool of yourself.
