Normally I'd say no as well but this game needs to be more newb friendly, its not eve where the x amount of stuff to do for fun. How about I apply my own logic in the fact that if this game had a subscription then there'd be less actual scrubs playing?. Not nice is it?. Be vigilant!, for there are those that remove the teabag BEFORE adding milk!. This is unacceptable!.

I've been advocating for this for awhile, actually. One of the biggest mechanical blockades to doing this in the past was that it eases the cost of self-locking. Now that self-locking is essentially squashed out, it won't break the game to give the losing team a small part of the pot. The window is currently 30m ISK in clone goo from clone packs that can be given to the losers without the net movement being positive. The winners of a match currently get 44mil net if ~220 clones are lost (an underestimate). 2.75mil/person. You can plug in your own suit cost, but basically you can die 10 times and make ISK. I'd think someone around a quarter to a third of the winners' pool would be within the bounds of sustainable. Of course if you do this you're assuming that the average cost of a suit lost in PC is greater than 200k or else PC becomes an ISK faucet rather than an ISK sink. Mitigating a bit of risk for the losing team simply promotes more fights. I'd be against this kind of functionality in PC if there was any real expectation of seeing Fac War fixed in the same amount of time. Fac War was, to my mind, supposed to be the lower risk team-based arena with commensurate lower payouts. Team deploy, a proper rewards structures in FW, and a proper conquest simulation in PC...these are all things that aren't coming to Dust 514. Granted that, it makes perfect sense to develop PC into an easier place to get team-based fights. Otherwise Dust is just pub matches. >~> Have a pony

What I would like to see is payouts for the winners to scale drastically with gear destroyed. So you get little for winning vs. standard or in a no-show (50% less than at present, say), but loads for winning your typical all proto affair (50% more than at present, say). At the moment even if you win a proto vs. proto fight the profit after suit expenses is usually so small you are barely ahead of where you'd be if you'd been grinding pubs the whole time instead of forming squads, waiting in barge, etc. That doesn't seem right for the supposed pinnacle of the game.

Haha, corp battles seemed to matter more. The space alone is worth nothing other than selling ammo to pirates to blow all the dusters sht up.
