Legion Is And Will Continue To Be A Project. Not A Beta For Dust 0.2, But Just A Project
So Much Rage And Quitting And Not Voting Because CCP wants to multitask. Yes, What Happened At Fanfest Was A Disaster, But It Was Merely A Lack of Communication That Caused Information Not To Get To The Players. You Guys ("The Community" Me Included) Chose To Make It Worse Than What It Really Is By Making Statements Like "Oh Legion Is Taking Over" And "CCP Abandoned Us" And That Is Not The Case. If CCP Abandoned Us Why Are We Getting Hotfixes So Rapidly? If CCP Abandoned Us Why Would We Vote For CPM1 When We Are Abandoned? The Answer Is No We Are Not Abandoned. We Are Just Doing What EVERY Human Being Does When Their Is Uncertainty In Our Minds. We Develop Possible Conclusions. And The Most Widely Heard And Taken To Heart Conclusions Are Mentioned Above. The Community Making Premature Guesses When They Have A Reason To Believe But Have No Concrete Evidence.

Right because you believe everything CCP tells you. Just like i bet you believed them when they said they were going to add a player market to dust or when they said they where going to put it on PS4 or when they said they would continue to improve and develop the game for about 10 years. Honestly you do realize the second they started working on Legion, Dust became just another thing on their servers to grab money from right? They dont care about Dust anymore and the only reason they still hold events in the first place is so they can get people (specially the noobies) to keep buying aurum items. If CCP cant keep promises what in the hell makes you think that they can be trusted? Legion is a sick joke plain and simple but if you want to waste your money buying a computer for a game that may never be and for Dust that could be shut down in the next year or two then by all means man its your wallet. But dont sit there and say we are all wrong when there is a very good chance we are actually right.

CCP has more failures and discontinuances, than not.
There is a strong possibility that we won't see Legion make it to market.
Until then, DUST 514 will still have a life for a good while to come. There will eventually be DUST players that will have the entire skilltree bought at its current state.
DUST has a life unto its own, its within the playerbase, just like all EvE games. |

It's not that Legion is a project. It's that Dust is not receiving the attention that we think it deserves. A lot of players feel like Dust needs much more development in order to be a strong product. Throughout its infancy and childhood, Dust has only been a game "with potential" as has been said by so many inside and outside of the community. We are ready for the game to be so much more, but many feel that the game has been abandoned due to the slow progress of game development.
Dust could be more awesome and we want more now.

CCP is doing hotfixes for DUST to keep you playing, and more importantly, to keep you paying until they have Legion out to make them money. Shutting down DUST at this point would keep them in a lump until Legion is out and of course they don't want that.
As long as they have a certain amount of people playing and paying on DUST they will keep it running, but you're likely more than stupid if you think DUST will ever get meaningful development again. There's only a skeleton crew working on DUST and why would they divert more resources from Legion when they so much need Legion to succeed at this point?
CCP will keep DUST running for as long as they can as it is now, but in a year or two when there's hardly anyone playing (after Legion is out anyway), why would they keep it running?

I like your TLDR, it makes it seem as though you are trying to teach us something but there is nothing informative in your post; it's just you rambling on about your opinion that everyone is getting upset for no reason. Had you actually read all that had happened and had been said by CCP you would have learned that people aren't drawing unfounded conclusions that the game is dead just because they announced Legion.
We will not get the player market, we will not get PVE, we will not get any new content. Because all they are doing now is balancing and server side bug fixes. We weren't the ones that first said Dust is dead, CCP was when they told us that Dust would no longer receive any client updates.
Can't say I'm all that surprised.
I've been drinking and may be drunk.... probably like most dust players.

it wasn't just a lack of good communication, they knew for 7 months prior to the rouge wedding that dust wasn't going to be the game that was promised to us, yet still encouraged us to make purchases as if it were.
none of us can say for sure if anything of our characters will transfer to legion, even ccp cant... all they have said is IF legion becomes a thing they would like to transfer as much relevant info of our characters as possible... that's quite vague.
and ccp doesn't have a good track record for coming through on much of anything.
I did still vote, I do still play dust, but I have no faith in ccp's ability to do anything with dust/legion. these hotfixes rattati is incharge of are nice, but this kind of community engaugement and action should have been done over a year ago.

Like I said. These hotfixes are paint tryna cover up ****. They DID tmsay that the majority of the development team IS focused on Legion. That statement right there makes it crystal clear that their intention is to fly away with Legion when the time is ready. Hell that demo they showed at Fanfest was completely in a couple months and we all saw how polished and rich everything looked. Dust IS dead. But ya'll are too stubborn to accept it.
And whats the purpose of the CPM anymore? A joke. You wanna be part of a counsil for a crap game go right ahead. A game that has no substantial future? Dust doesnt even have competitive worth anymore! PC is boring and pointless, there have been the SAME game modes since FOREVER, and it has been Always pay to win.
The players that dominate this game have over 50 mill SP from all the Boosters they purchased in the beginning. I remember when CCP said " Dust is definitely not Pay to Win"... Bull! You mean to tell me if two people start playin at the Same time and one of them purchases a SP booster pr Aur gear he wont have an advantage over the one who doesnt? Of course he will, because he would have access to better weapons sooner and Skills faster than his peer!
Anyway, my rant is over. Dust is dead its been dead. Legion is taking its place. The Cake was a lie... |

Not entirely true though. Well, the money part might be, but CCP has to produce a patch before Sony can test anything. As we all know no one except Rattati and a few other poor souls are still working on Dust, so who would do the development for the patches for Dust?
Fact is the entire focus is on Legion and they are simply not going to divert any of that focus onto Dust because they need it all on Legion to make sure it doesn't flop (like Dust).

That doesnt refute the point that CCP makes bad decisions and shovels things out the door regardless of common sense

Voting is what may save Dust514. Get players in there that will cut through the BS Kool-Aid and get stuff done plus tell it to you strait.
I have said this a dozen times on here (and I do not believe everything CCP tells me), at Fan Fest it was said "Legion needs to be made on PC 1st before being placed on NextGen platforms". Part why I want to be on the CPM is to follow this through because I don't trust anyone else to do it for me and tell me the truth.
What I want to see is a Promise of Legion to Nextgen on a roadmap, then the continuation of DUST514 up to it's release with Full player transfer to the next step. Pipe Dream? Maybe, BUT at lest I will try at it instead of crying and doing nothing

Newsflash: CCP is historically full of ****.
More, better hot fixes because there's basically only one guy working on it and he's been humble enough to actually listen to the playerbase.
And on top of that, all he's doing is simply skewing a few numbers in the code. He's not building Amarrian MTACs or getting Speeders on the field after a year and a half of TTG posting that "SoonGäó" bullshit.
