Obviously ADS pilots will get annoyed if some random enemy tapped their MLT dropship and got destroyed. If you lose a 500k ADS to a 30k DS wouldn't you be at least slightly irritated?
To the OP, if I were to see you placing uplinks on top of hard to reach places obviously I would wait until you get off and rain death on you, then I will destroy all your uplinks and your DS. If you manage to actually hit me at the speed I'm flying then good job for you, you just managed to risk your clone by suiciding yourself. I'm sorry but I do not think ramming should be even slightly considered a viable tactic.

It's not so much dropship ramming that's the problem, it's dropship "gently caressing you ever so softly" ing, sending you up in 500,000ISK flames that's an issue.
If you always had to hit at full speed at least then it would be consistent, but right now, well....it's not. Collision damage in this game is roulette at best, and honestly, I don't expect CCP has the capability to fix it.

That is a issue when I was in a missle incubus and a python started shooting at me I was trying to shove him into the nearest building that we were near and we got locked together in the sky I gently caressed... literally just kinda..gently rub side to side on it and it couldn't handle the sexiness of the incubus all up in its grill so it combusted into flames...
I use a DS to hump things......

If I am in my dropship and I see an ADS attacking my uplinks or my team, then I will ram it. It's that simple. Do you honestly expect me to go land, return my ship, wait for the probationary period, call in an ADS, fly out to find the ADS and dog fight like civilized men? How long would that take? Or I could simply spot the ADS with my dropship and ram it on the way to my next waypoint.
My point is, I fly an ADS for anti-ADS warfare. I fly a dropship for uplink deployment. I understand the nuances of both, but I don't get why pilots call other pilots scrubs for using a ram tactic. It is a quick, viable attack and the ramming dropship often survives if the maneuver is performed correctly, while the rammed dropship often doesn't even see it coming.
I would not complain about ramming if the collision detection actually worked. I should not dodge a rammer only to have him take me down just by going past me.

But if I do collide full on at full or even high speed, there should be a spectacular wreck, not my dropship bouncing off of yours and coming to a complete stop. If they fixed all the collision bugs, I would be so happy.
