Discussed this idea with some of the other candidates and it was fairly well received, decided to bring this to the rest of the community to hear some input.
While the daily SP bonus is fine on it's own, I think there are some ways we can change it up to address some pressure points.
The current system requires you to log-on to your character to receive the additional SP. This does not give incentive to playing the game, just logging in to collect your little bonus. It's a Skinner's box, if anything.
If you -don't- log in, the effects are rather punishing in that it resets your progress back to zero. A loss of 10,500 SP a week.
So while the effects aren't exactly enormous, it is rather irritating to have to raise your chain back up.
The proposal:
Change the daily log-in to only give the reward after completion of a single match per day. If a match isn't completed, the progress drops down a level instead of resetting to the beginning. This gives incentive for people to actually play the game and may encourage them to play -more- as they're already sitting down with the controller in their hands. If they don't, it's not so big a deal as they just don't get the 500 extra SP they would have if they did.
Discuss.

I on occasion cannot access my ps3 for a day, and would hate to lose my 267 days active. Mind you, this is my ocd talking.
I don't think it's much to ask to have someone play a 10-minute Ambush match as opposed to starting up the PS3 and spending two minutes logging in but I understand fully where you're coming from.

You would lose your progress under the current system as well, unless you have some means to log into your account and get the bonus without using a PS3? House mate who has zero interest in video games will do it for me in exchange to doing his dishes. Like I stated, this is a rare event, like, a wedding. Does that actually count as 267 days of being 'active'
Pretty much hit the nail on the head, IMO.

Seems like adding a layer of complexity for complexities sake.
So someone AFKing through a match instead of just logging in to collect payouts from Skinner's box and not playing is... Preferable?
/grabs rubber band and straps it to his controller - continues browsing forums.

Discuss. I honestly don't see this changing much... if we have to force people who don't really want to play just to get 6k sp... the issue should be more focused on why we need to force people to play to begin with. furthermore I see this just making the most obstinate of us rubber band afking a match to get their paltry reward....
Fair point.
