My KDR is high only due to the fact that I hate, HATE to lose money; hence, I typically play it safe and try to make the enemy come to me.

If your KDR is low then you need a good excuse (like being a dedicated minlogi or outstanding AVer). Maybe there are slayers or tankers with very low KDRs that do well in PC but I don't know them.
Anyway, that is only the filter stage. Anyone who gets past the filter has to show us that they didn't get their stats by padding. If we don't know them already this means running some pubs with us and keeping up in terms of kills/WP. As a recruiter, you should know "slayer" isn't a role, and is used by dumbasses who just run around shooting everything that moves with no real aim. People who call themselves "slayers" are the people you don't want in your corp Slayer=clears objectives by killing the enemy. This is quite an important role in PC y'know... That would be shock, or offensive area-denial.

Redline snipers, tanks and cloak scout shotgunners are gonna have some really really good K/Ds (with the first one because they were dieing a lot as it is and hiding behind a line of death but meh)
so i feel you cant judge a player by their K/D. Play with them before rejecting them. dont judge on stats that can be "forged" easily
As a Support Logi and a Fire Support Commando, do I really care about K/D? No. Somehow, miracolously, my K/D is X>1 for some reason, despite working Logi part time...
Wherever the Wind (Aero) might take me, may it ever be True, for the way of the Commando is noble and right.

My K/D always been decent, I barely have to worry about it so I honestly Idc, I should think anything above 1.00 is adequate. Although I will admit during 1.3 I did care about it quite a bit, back then I was at 1.2 K/D or something close, its been rising since then and its at 2.08 now. |

I had once hoped that one day it would be as low as 0.1
Being a logi is the best... no stupid stat to worry about, leave matches for or for other people to be all judgey about

High k/dr isn't wildly difficult to get if you hit the ground running. Squad up, run your best gear, you'll probably do really well.
Kind of hard to climb your k/dr up from the pit if you started with no friends, no isk, and no guidance, though, even if you're consistently good today.
I accept a low k/dr every single time I decide to strap on a no armor melee-only fit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I wouldn't want it any other way - I'm trying to have fun, after all.
Were I in charge of recruiting for such a firm based on stats, I'd just put them in application hell and keep track of their weekly/monthly, since that's available to us now. If for whatever reason I wanted to play with tryhards I'd actually run good fits for however long and they'd know all they need to. |

No your right the renowned players like to jump from one FOTM to another. That hurts their reputation more than redline sniping, at least to me anyway.
I've lost count the amount of times I've seen 'Renowned Players' who run round it prototype brick tanked suits with a posse of logi's and support, their success is not built by their own work but by the work of others and it's, kinda sad.
They call me the Monkey - I like to jump off sh** and piss RE's all over your tank!
