Top 5 Problem
1) HP Tanked Scouts
2) HMG Heavies
3) Bad Assaults
4) Movement Mechanics
5) Lag
Possible Solutions
1) Redirect Gal/Cal Scout racial bonuses from Base Frame to EWAR modules.
2) Add HMG spool-up time; reduce Heavy explosive resistances; nerf repair guns.
3) Rework Min/Cal/Gal Assault racial bonuses to improve slaying and/or staying power.
4) Set strafe and backpedal speed to 80% of walk speed; reduce jump and strafe acceleration (breaks HD).
5) Get more hamsters.

Repair tools suck if you don't get proto
Give Scouts a penalty
HMG give a bigger penalty
Assault are broken and also the people they're dumbasses

Ok but don't nerf repair tools and ffs don't give assaults damage bonuses. I just hate that idea. Give them an extra weapon bonus if you like but not damage. (I know you didn't specify what bonus, just saying before people start spouting off about it). |

Speed tanking hasn't been a "thing" since Chrome.
Mechanics which break HD were bad then and they're bad now.

I'm fairly certain I've only been killed by knives once, and that was a KNIFE FIGHT back in the Shi-Nobi event.
And the whole "no cloak" thing? I've been doing that since Uprising 1.0 when knives were made useful. If you think it's an achievement, you're terrible.

Your speed only maks a difference if it's below. 1.5MB/s greater than that and it's blowing hot air out your behind.
Instead check your pingtest (pingtest.net) the lower your jitter the better.
Then there's your quality, you can have 3TB/s and still have lag if you connection quality isn't good enough.
However I have 2.5MB/s but a flawless connection I can play lag free 97% of the time.
My suit's a bit rusty, but that could just as easily be me!

Then the only thing I can suggest is the enemy team is purosefully lagging, or setting up a lag bomb.
Neither of these reasons would suprise with this player base

Rebalancing HMGs ( tweaking optimal range/effective/heat buildup) AND introducing more HMG variants is the better, non-Band-Aid solution.
Resistances on the heavy were a bad idea from the get-go. They are a passive bonus that affects the heavy regardless of your fit. RR heavy? Given nice resistances. Forge Gun, complex damage modded heavy? Given nice resistances. Speed tanked Nova knife heavy? Given nice bonuses. Where as, say, my basic minmatar scout to get some of its bonuses, and thus making optimal use of my invested SP, I have to equip nova knifes. To make use of my all bonuses on my Minmatar Assault, I have to use specific weapons. On my Minmatar Logistics, to make use of all my bonuses I have to use equipment, and specifically the repair tool. Why are Sentinels the only class in the game that all get passive bonuses that affect the suit regardless of your fitting? I could go on with my problems with resistances, but I shan't.
Repair guns already suck at low levels, unless you have lots of SP invested into Minmatar Logistics. You want repair tools to be hit with another nerf? perhaps a nerf at proto levels, but advanced and basic repair tools have been hurt enough, in my opinion.
Anyway, if the spool-up time is anything like the rail rifle, it would be inconsequential and easily circumvented. Sentinel resistances are bonuses inconsistent with every other class in the game. I want meaningful change for the better. Not some Band-Aids that fail to fix the problems or improve the game as a whole.
Edit: the other stuff in your post I take no issue with.

Should've been more clear; updated OP. 100% in favor of teamwork, but low-risk free orbitals are becoming a problem. Heavy+Logi blobs have replaced the Tank as the new cheap trick in Ambush.
Yes, tanky scouts are also cheap and should to be fixed as well.
