I'm finding this game to be even more fun than ever before, though that's most likely because AV is viable again and I've started to squad with others after about 8 months of being a solo player.
If your having problems enjoying the game, it's because your taking it too seriously. When you begin to embrace the social aspect of this game, you'll find that it's pretty fun.
Though if I may ask, why are you not enjoying it?

Well, could be cause a lot of my friends are quitting, but it could also be the current imbalance in the game.
Perhaps a mixture of the two.

Just take a short break from the game, if you can. You'll start to reflect more on the things that you really enjoy about the game and will have a lot more fun when you return to active duty.

I don't know about you, but I play 3 times a week for like 3 hours. Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. It's still fun when I play.

Every deployment is a painful reminder this game is not finished and never will be. That I'll never truly enjoy tanking again, that tanks lack anything to make themselves important or useful on the battlefield....., that the Amarr will never have an HAV.
Each time I deploy I go and watch another Destiny video knowing that I'll be playing that between now and Legions release.
I don't need to change suits or roles to enjoy this game.....I do..."like" it..... but I'll never love it again as I did when the possibility of an Amarrian tank was on the horizon.

I have over 220k WP this week and over 1k kills (i'm an AV'er mostly so I don't get as many kills as others with that many WP).
I was freaking miserable this morning for 3 matches. Some guy held a MLT Laser Rifle for over 6 full seconds on a MLT A-heavy suit.
I had a misfire on my forge every 3 or 4 shots. I had forge projectiles just passing straight through people. I mean, it literally passed through them.
We went up against the second worst team I have ever seen in my life. As my luck would have it, our blueberries were worse.
To go off of True's statement:
I have to agree that tanking is not that fun b/c there is no scalability or real reward for being a good tankers. They need the old vehicles back. I never even got to try them.
I'm sick of running 2 or 3 man squads and being the only team to run orbitals time and time again while the enemy team unloads as many as 5 or 6 in a Pub Dom match.
People don't squad. When they do it's "sorry, no mic". Good players get pissed they play with bad players and quit and bad players quit because they are bad.
I've even resorted BACK to the RR. I mean, I left it for a good number of reasons but I can't get CQC situations in ambush like 1.7. Now everyone is running RR to save their KDR. The only other CQC is a scout (some OP BPO I will never get) that gets the jump on me and everyone else.
Players are oblivious to the cloak. For some reason it's magical and a win button for people. It is completely visible in most cases.
Whiners have ruined RE's with the delay nonsense. I haven't used an RE to kill someone or even put on a null in over 2 months. That's right. Two months. But when I put it on a tank it takes too long before I can detonate and sometimes the tank kills me 3 or 4 seconds AFTER I put the RE on it. I have to spawn in and then detonate.
Installation turret Blasters, when manned, don't have spray like blaster tanks.
Sprint glitch pretty much made me quit scout work for a while.
The only reason I am posting this is because I have to report a bug with the A-Logi again and decided to stop by here.
There is a thread that has more than 1 reply discussing what MLT gear is OP and everyone is talking about weapons and not the OP MLT Gal Light and Med suit. It's actually half hilarious and half disturbing that these are the people that influence our game.
CPM election is a joke because it's going to go to forum warriors (confirmed to play very little by many people) and not players that play 10 or more hours a week. Say that people don't have a life all you want but I save an ish ton of money playing this game that much. Gotta save up for the next few months to move.
Played a dom this morning where there were 5 drop ships (1 ADS), multiple were manned with at least 1 other and a tank. That is about 8+ players off of the map. Only 8 others. Two of us were harassing and destroying the hell out of vehicles. that leaves 13 (one was our ground guy who whooped everyones a$$ and scored over 3k WP). Again, leaves 13 people vs about 8 to 10. They held the objective the whole match and almost cloned us (I think we had like 2 clones left).
And I keep getting erections at work like I was back in HS. I do everything I can but at some point it's just sore and still erecting.

I can relate.
To fix my problem, I just stopped playing regularly, stopped caring about login bonuses and did not finish up my stash of active boosters.
*boom*
Suddenly, the game became "obligation"-less. It was not a chore; a second job. It was a game I could play when/if I felt like. No feelings of wasted money from not playing with active boosters up, nothing. I was free.
So, if you have "obligations" that make this game a second job by choice, ask yourself: is it worth it? And Is it worth playing a game that fails to deliver enjoyment?
I feel the answers are a resounding "NO."

I certainly don't, but it's still harder to play each time I log on simply because of the fact that there are 8 players AFK IF I'M LUCKY.
Before Fanfest, there were always 36 players matches. Maybe I'd get a lonely game out of every 100 matches or so.
Now, I feel like I'm either playing manhunt against a tightly packed group, or walking in a wasteland. |

This, big time. I started logi, and played for months that way. Then I became heavy on an alt, and played months that way. Then I had a 3rd alt, and when the suit respec came, I put it all into scout.
Whenever I got sick of the game, I switched playstyles, and had to learn an entirely different way to win games and make kills. It's kept my interest so far. I created a 4th alt a number of months ago, and when I get sick of all this, I'll probably go ADS or commando, or something.
Gotta change things up every few months or so.

PS4 most like as but if quality is not wholly hindered by the PS3 I might pick it up for that.

Nobody is forcing you to spawn there! Not my fault you're so bad you can't even call in a dropship at MCC and take uplinks away from where they are camping.

Or play something else until you miss Dust.

Yeah, but see, that's the point. I do extremely well as logistics, and suck an enormous horse **** when playing scout. So I started playing scout intentionally, because it requires a completely different mindset.
As logi, I was never afraid to be on the front lines supporting the assaults and heavies, and when I tried to do the same thing as scout -- take everybody head on -- I died with embarrassing regularity. And so for the first time in the game, I actually had to learn to be sneaky -- flanking, getting people from behind, etc. I even had to start learning when to simply run away -- not learning how to run behind cover or use it effectively, cause I already knew that, but just recognizing when I was outmatched, and deciding instead to run completely away from that engagement, and attempt to create an opportunity for another more favorable to me.
That's what's keep this game alive for me anyway. Having to learn how to play in a style that I have no familiarity with.
