You need more practice, that is all. As for the first person, it is quite efficiant once you have the habit. I find it effective when I fight other dropships, or when it come to destroy equipments or infantry hidden like over the alpha null cannon on this map : http://wiki.dust514.info/images/2/2c/IronDelta_skirmish.jpg

There is no reason to nerf or buff dropships, however, there are many reason to nerf the missile turret and return them to the pre 1.7 era (not talking of Escrow). Back there, the prototype turret had stats beetween the sstandard and advanced turrets we have for the moment.

I play with proto assault dropships, it's not like I was someone wanting them nerfed because I'm tired of being killed and I think that rail or missile, both should be nerfed, rail should be given a small area of explosion with a few damages so they can destroy drop uplinks and nanohives (without becoming efficient against infantry).
Turrets should have less damages, but have proficiency that five them an advantage (overheat, dispersion) or damages, like for the weapons. So a true vehicle player will have to have proficiency 5 if he really want his turret to do as much damages as it do for the moment.

We already got nerfed we lost reps and we take more damage from av.Do you even dropship?
That I do, in PC for my corp or in pub/FW if I want to have some fun against dropships or roof campers. Anyway, yes we loose the reps, thanks to remind me this point, because I agree with you, this nerf which intended to harm tanks, harm more the dropships than them. CCP should have simply modify the tank fitting slots so it is impossible to use more than 2 repairs (like for the afterburners). Or simply to have a penality so huge when you want to use the third repair, that it don't worth the cost.
As for taking more damages from AV, I would say yes because it is true, but wrong because now, we are less hunted by the rail tanks. And I'm truly glad of this, now it take one or two proto AV to take down a good assault dropship where a single sica was needed before.
