Looks good. Thanks for the post and update.
To Natu: I'm not sure how it could be anything but a single universal AH or independent regional market hubs. Personally I never expected nor assumed that DUST/Legion characters would have access to destination travel (EVE warp gates) to even open the door of possibility to pirate other characters en route to whatever AH location(s) exist. Sure, at or to and from salvage zones, but not really through space-based travel. I honestly imagine it's just an access point in your merc quarters to buy and sell, and that be that. That would be the cleanest and fastest path I would guess.
If that's the general idea, then I would love some type of filter system to view other regional markets so that if I wanted to play the numbers game, I could---to a degree. Just select a region and determine whether or not it's more profitable to put in sell orders here or there or wherever. Keep restrictions of distance from your home system to skills maybe like in EVE, but more generic. I doubt we're going to be trading pure ore or much of anything EVE-side except for our own game-useable items any time soon, so yeah, simplifying trade makes sense I guess. It would be faster and fairly open across the universe as compared to EVE, but that may not be a bad thing. Assuming we are only really able to trade what we have access to, we won't overlap EVE commodities, just sharing the market space through a streamlined access point. Again, I assume that I'm not going to be able to buy Kestrels, but being able to maybe SEE Kestrels on the market along side my own Legion gear would feel pretty immersive. That may even lead to more cross-over players due to curiosity of what all this new stuff that I can't buy is. We're not going to affect the EVE market much at all I imagine, so why not let our trades be faster and a bit more accessible than EVE's. Baby steps and all until one day maybe I can buy a Kestrel...
Hm. Maybe I'm making stuff up here, but I think I remember reading character clone transfer discussions in MC Peanut's post a while back from one location to another. Seemed instantaneous to me, just with a transitional visual sequence maybe. With that assumption as a basis, would then all of our inventory travel with us to access for use or trade in other regions? My point is I doubt we would be able to pirate each other beyond ground-game.
Of course being stuck keeping things within a system or region, I'm curious what impact if any EVE capsulers will play. IF the markets integrate, what would stop an EVE pilot from severely undercutting or price-gouging system-/region-bound Legion markets? If the Legion marketeer is unable to transport inventory to another trade hub to escape EVE player manipulation, what happens?
Back to the idea in the first two paragraphs...
Eh, I'm rambling again. =(
TLDR: Nice samples. Thanks. + incoherent ramblings on my part.
