Consequently, if I'm in a tank, I'm doing it for AV purposes.
Now, I'm an experienced tanker at this point and my fittings are high quality. I can generally manage a 2v1 against tanks, or against AV, or against a pair using the two.
The JLAV's massive spike damage negates that. If I'm engaged with another HAV, or with AV, I'm incredibly vulnerable to JLAVs in a way that I'm not to anything else in the game. Even a fully modded BFG is less dangerous.
In that sense, then, a JLAV invalidates and trivialises a huge number of AV tactics.
