Only **** tankers thought that the Falchion or Vayu were useless.
In the right situation, they were unstoppable.
99% of players couldn't put it all together if they tried.
Although I am pretty sure that there was only Alpha and myself running Vayus. Although he ran a more traditional, whereas I went for the Hybrid variety.
Tankers who didn't use the Enforcers missed out.

I know I did, but at the time was putting SP into fitting skills and developing my cores so I could complete with most other Maddy's.
I missed out on both Marauders and Enforcers.
That was back when even normal tanks required real team work to keep alive.
But once you put a LLAV behind a decent driver, it was game over for the enemy until the realized what was going on. If you played smart and protected your LLAV then you became a very formidable threat, which was something most of the infantry at that time had not seen.
Some of my highest levels of enjoyment came from those games. Myself, Ted Nugget and Thundergroove running two Charybdii and an enforcer. Between the murder taxi kills, the tank ripping everything up, and being able to sit in a nOB while under rep, it was ******* EPIC.
Teamwork has always been OP, but never more than with those days. You had to work together, play smart, and spend a ton of ISK to do it, but damn was it ever fun.
Shame they had to go and screw it all up after that instead of just SLIGHTLY nerfing AV like I had suggested for months before the vehicle rework.
These forums will be funny in 6 months when tanks get rebuffed due to them being unused.
Oh wait, that would require players, and since everyone wants infantry to dominate, tankers will just vacate to go to games that support a more full combat experience.
Now it is crappy CoD in space, and that is about as fun as it sounds.

Me along with some others declared to the community that the enforcers were the new militia tanks and that the sica and soma were the new std and the gunnlogi and madrugar were the new pro tanks. And the community followed it.
Because listening to a redline rail tanker giving advice about brawling tanks makes a whole lick of sense.
Enforcers were boss.
Solo tankers hated them because they mandated teamwork, and if someone screwed up, all that ISK went down the drain. If you couldn't survive 7 matches without losing an LLAV or a tank, you made no profit.
Risk/reward at its finest.

I remember that one of the 2 that was meant for long range that gave a zoom in ability only worked for the blaster turret which everyone knows is basically a short range weapon, not a long or medium range weapon.
Just to pull this one aside, you comlpetely missed the point of the range bonus.
Scattered Ion with extra range meant you were able to stay in optimal while fighting another blaster tank in their falloff. It also gave you a lot more reach to hit forgers.
There was also the other option, of running a Stabilized turret and hitting out to 150 or so with full, bonused damage. On Manus Peak domination, you could be anywhere down low near the flag and completely clear the ridge overlooking. Put the LLAV behind some cover, and watch the rage mail flow.
Not that any of those things would make sense to you though, you only played from the rear with the fear.

I was hardly a redline railer. As i remember i didnt start using the redline until the end of 1.6 and that was almost a year ago.
I was always in the middle of the battle with my railgun, thats how i got my status of being one of the top railgunners.
You were not one of the top railgunners. You are a very good shot, but that is it. Your tactical knowledge is lacking, your maneuvers are subpar, and your ability to take losses and complete objectives is nil. This is coming from someone who fought against you and hired you.
Don't believe your own hype. You were at best a pubstar.
Void Echo wrote: Everyone knows that blasters are close range and barely medium range, it never made sense to use a blaster for the zoom bonus because you could always use the missile turret for more powerful range blasts.
I was never really behind the battle, you may have never seen me on the front lines because i was ALWAYS busy with destroying enemy tanks when i saw them.
Resorting to personal attacks based on your clear assumption and lack of understanding how my playstyle worked will not work at aggravating me. But it does work at showing how immature you are over the internet.
And yet, using an enforcer provided a noticeable benefit because infantry and other tankers consistently would underestimate your ability to deal damage at ranges greater than the standard turrets.
Was it ideal? No, and I made posts to that effect a long, long time ago. But it was not useless, and anyone who says they were is not a tanker.
Both enforcers had very niche applications that were extremely stong.
Finally, yes you were a redliner. Hardcore back of the bus type stuff too. You can try and tell stories about how you imagined yourself playing, but when I watched you run away from a fight in a PC match against Imagio of all people, then you can't be respected as a serious tanker.
Only pubbies look up to you. You are like Charlotte, just a slightly better shot. Still uselss in a close match though.
