This isn't some random occurrence that happens here and there in DUST, it's something that happens in majority.
Rarely will you get what looks like a random allocation of players, you will have one side frequently filled with names that have been around for 6 months+ and the other side filled with NPC corporations.
And if this happened say even 50% of the time.. I would say it's merely coincidence.. But like i said previously this happens well above 60% of the time which leads you to believe there is something fundamentally Broken about the Match Making System. The issue with match making has been debated for almost a half year; feel free to even search on the Dust forums on my posts alone that go back 4 months on this being a problem that leads directly to player retention. I'm pretty sure if all CCP will work on are hotfixes then this will never get addressed; you have to create either a tiered or cap system where players who fall under a specific SP number can only enter said matches or a given range or some other method. No matter the solution it'd require a client side update most likely and that doesn't seem to be in CCP's interests. It's not like hotfixes aren't needed as well but its really a way of CCP implying that anything that is a client-side update they've already thrown in the white flag. Stomps pretty much happen on the weekends more than any other time and for the sole reason that its easier for players to stomp all the new ones and cap out their skill points. Sadly though, the matchmaking argument is, was, n will always be circular....can't keep players because they quit due to going up against vets, and don't have the player count to have good matchmaking....lovely isn't it? Edit: typos
Vet's don't need a full 16vs16 everytime.. building better more competitive and personally challenging matches from the starter to the closed beta Vet is something worth trying.
Throwing in a white flag to client side updates for CCP would be as foolish and short sighted at the giant asset and testing bed they have in DUST 514 that is still creating a revenue stream
If you are gonna test a matchmaking system, Racial Vehicle concepts... or anything... for Legion why would you not utilize DUST's community and generate some Cash from Content additions on development that would otherwise be unfunded.
But then again this is CCP's management team and they are... Special and seem to get away with murder and not be held accountable. |

Group 1 murders group 2 because they couldn't do it anywhere else, so they go hard in Dust.
Lol, I'm even better at CoD than i am at dust, so where do i fall? Most of the quality slayers in DUST are the same in others FPS games. Usually they are wayyy better at the main FPS titles to the point where the challenge was gone and they got bored. This echoes with nearly every quality player that people consider. More so then what your saying. This^ other games are to EZ but now dust is getting there. I believe this is due to lack of players.

Is it fun to camp the only opposing spawn uplink with 6+ Heavies and various shotgun Scouts? Are they competing to see who can get the best record or something? What about redlining? Is bombarding the enemy redline with orbitals that satisfying?
What are these players trying to achieve? Why are they trying so hard to win? It's understanable if the opposing team had an equally skilled set of players or squads, but no. These stompers want to give their all against groups of NPC corp randoms and solo players.
I don't get it.
I switched to the European servers today knowing that I would no longer have to face Duna2002. After a few games of ambush, I switched back to the american servers. I'd rather face nyan chan alone than 3-4 members of the rainbow effect - this is proto stomping at its finest ladies and gentlemen, move along, nothing left to see here.
Obviously I could use the countless proton weapons and dropsuits I have in stock, but this is beside the point.

Its funny how much QQ just wearing a tag can get you.
As far as I know we were never more than 4 Rainbows at any given time, I don't even have proto anything yet, dual basic scramblers and a lvl 3 non racial scout suit, still I got several QQ protostomping mails....
Its really sad that so many blame the equipment of others rather than your own lack of co-ordiantion and gungame as a prime reason for us (well not me) going 30-1.... Equipment benefits helps, but it doesn't explain such a huge difference in result.
"I would be just as good as them if I could only be bothered to use my shiny stuff...." STFU
Taz and Richie was using enhanced gear almost all the time...
FFS, I can hardly go positive, that doesn't mean that I'll do like so many others in this game, hide in a 1500 HP fatsuit, camp on a roof or indeed in the redline. Keep playing like sheep and none of you will ever get any good....
Try being new and go up againt an 8 man group in KZ4, believe me, its a lot harder than in Dust. Or indeed, go up against a good MAG clan back in the days and You'd hardly even get to the redline... |

I don't get it. Ive found that all the stompers moved to domination after tanks got removed from ambush and people started quitting, so I started playing skirm and recently ambush and its much better. Watch out for the O.H/ I.H **** train in ambush trust me its not fun fighting us xD

very true. i play dust because it is the only challenging game for me, as i usually have a 20+ kdr for pc/mac games, and so do most "elite" players
