Understandable. But can't you be the proverbial "couch guy" in the squad? Cause we had a guy who wouldn't talk on comms even if it was to warn you of a impending sharknado, but he would still do...squad stuff...with us.
My NPE is basically the extent of running my mouth (boy, Michael can talk) about the dos and don'ts of Dust. As far as "easing up". Lol no I can't. Hell, when my cousin was 6 just starting up the passion for video games and playing Tekken, I would whoop on him. Not because I could but because I was teaching him. He got mad at first, yes. But I got my little cousin into a honed fighter where he was beating me. That's the stuff I like to see.
I know its a pub match and all, be can we at least try to be somewhat competitive? People in proto, so what? Learn how to beat them. It does nothing but improve your game, if you approach the challenge head on.

Don't do it for the newberries to get better Be a little easy just so that we can get more newberries and keep the community growing
That's a bit misleading, don't you think?

Of course I want the newberries to get better but right now, we need more players, rather than good players. After we get more, we can help them get good. Like when the game went open beta How many closed beta vets made corps just to help the newberries?
Uh Dust University? Ron1n trained scouts. Several comm channels were opened to train newberries. And last but not least, Fox Gaden guides are invaluable.
No, we need better players. And in order to get better players, it is on the individual player.
It's really not that hard to be competitive at this game, especially now in pubs. Pubs by no means is that hard. Wasn't that hard then, but its alot and I do mean alot, easier now.
We can all hold hands in New Eden and sing "Heal the World". But it takes the player themselves to be competitive. Nothing outside of that can change that.
What's that saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink?
