My NPE is basically the extent of running my mouth (boy, Michael can talk) about the dos and don'ts of Dust. As far as "easing up". Lol no I can't. Hell, when my cousin was 6 just starting up the passion for video games and playing Tekken, I would whoop on him. Not because I could but because I was teaching him. He got mad at first, yes. But I got my little cousin into a honed fighter where he was beating me. That's the stuff I like to see.

I know its a pub match and all, be can we at least try to be somewhat competitive? People in proto, so what? Learn how to beat them. It does nothing but improve your game, if you approach the challenge head on.

I run solo a lot
I don't mic a lot
When i solo I play to support my team, I have fun.
When I play in squad with no mic, I still play to support the team, but can more easily identify my squad mates and a keep their backs safe or work together. Run a few matches with the same squad and you get a feel for them and how they role.
Hell I've squaded with people who don't even speak the same languages and we've done well together.

How many closed beta vets made corps just to help the newberries?

I am in a very active corp with lots of squads. Even still I solo a lot. Sometimes I just feel like killing alone. But the main reason I solo a lot is because I honestly feel it makes me a better player.

When I'm in the mood to solo I actually like going against a stacked team. It makes me think very strategically and it hones my guerilla warfare skills. Soloing can be done, however, it can only effectively be done in pubs. Communication and teamwork are crucial for successful PC operations.

C'mon, we all know the best way to train someone is to put them against the best competition from the start with little to no training. That is why we put Pee Wee footballers up against pro teams, how else will those little ***** learn? It builds character.

Yes. It is. And it's a good thing in Dust as it is a bad thing.

Why good? Because nothing says that this is a serious game rather than having 2 corps on the same team communicating and being all tactical.

This is good. It immerses players and help them have fun in the game.

And the bad thing is, believe it or not, there are solo players in Dust. People who don't have the time to be in a squad or they are just anti-social and don't like talking to people. This also hinders it.

People like, who have social anxiety can't really work well with squads. And believe me that I have tried, I try to tell them where the enemy is or if they want a lift on my dropship so that I can leave them on the objective they desire the most and no one listens. In very few occations someone has listened to me. And for my social anxiety? I just find it hard to talk to other people. Even when saying regular stuff like go here and there. I pull a little effort just to say that.

No, I am not saying to pitty me. Just letting you guys that say "Get in a squad and play good" Not all people function well in a squad and obviously CCP didn't wanted Dust to be a "Be with your squad or f you"

This can simply be fixed. But if it is, matches will become more empty and will take longer times to fix as Scotty puts the solo players in a game with little to no squads while the squadded players play with other squads.

And this doesn't really **** me. But I don't know for the other players, since I run low ISK suits I can afford to die or just leave battle because I know I won't be going ISK negative.


Now for the NPE
You guys complain about how NPE is horrible, yet you guys do little to fix that yourselfs for the time being. Newberries getting in matches where they are simply redlined within the 2 minutes of the match, or getting owned here and there by proto stompers. Seriously, if you are one of this people that just wants to redline the enemy team or proto stomps because they don't want their KDR to get harmed you guys have no rights to complain about horrible NPE since you are the guys that are causing it.

And as for the redlining the enemy team, we all have been on both sides. We know how frustating it is when we get redlined as we all know how boring it is when your team is the one redlining. Nothing to kill except for the occasional one that decides to go near the borders. And you guys won't even let them hack at least one objective.

This said, it is YOU, the one who decides how the NPE should be, and I seriously think we need new players ever since the Legion fiasco thing.

So, let them newberries hack, and stop using your proto gear for a week. Not like it will kill you
