Rail rifles are really good, but if there's a problem with them I'm gonna say it's their CQC viability. Not as good as CR but they're still really good while hipfiring which is a little weird.

If you're getting killed from a hundred meters away, well, working as intended. Stop moving away from cover!

Its actually not weird, if you read the description of the weapon put out on the blog by ccp before its release. It, was described as being very accurate on hipfire, and also having the longest range. To say that a weapon is highly accurate at CQC is not the same as to say it is the best weapon AT cqc, and indeed if you are skilled at all it is not the best by far.
