Graphics wise? I hope it doesn't end up looking like PS2. The video on Legion looks far more realistic than what we were hoping for in Dust.
Scale wise? Perhaps.

I've been wondering myself as well. The short live demo we've seen depicted a map like we currently know them in terms of size, possibly even a tad smaller. But the sandbox style gameplay they've been talking about doesn't really work in maps of this size.
I imagine they would be more like the entirety of our current maps including everything beyond the redline which should be several square kilometres, filled with mostly nothing of course.
You can take a benign object, -you can take a cheeseburger and deconstruct it to its source...

Yes I was thinking of terms in scale, although planetside 1 maps are superior in those terms. |

If Legion doesn't become a lobby shooter, and has a full sized dust district at least per system, oh god yes. Not sure how big the PS2 maps are (because I can't stand that game long enough to look), but I caculated that it's .2 square Mm, give or take. If I got that right, we're talking huge. |

You know how from certain maps we can see into other maps?
CCP once said they wanted to Open up the maps to at least that size. Beyond that don't expect anything too technically difficult. I suspect they will cut down massively the number of systems we fight in high sec in, additionally we may be instanced to specific Redlined areas where multiple fights are happening on the same district out of one another spheres of travel.
