EDIT: wait do we get to Q up separately? otherwise it's going to be a bit hit and miss.
militia weapons being added is too little too late but i'm still grateful for them. i have to run militia suits most of the time anyway.
the added slots to amarr assault is awesome, I love that guy and that's what he needed to be deadly.
CCP if in charlie you could look at ambush spawns that would be great.
also the methana 20gj particle cannon is lethal, people have been going 20-0 doing drivebys with it, 3 direct shots usually does 1100 damage.
I like everything about this hotfix, at least on paper. Looking forward to playing later tonight.
The vehicle-less Ambush is something that needed to happen since I began playing in open beta. Finally! However, I'd like to make a suggestion, CCP? Make the OMS version separate from regular. The reason is: unless I'm in the mood to either forge battle tanks or call one in myself, I will automatically be leaving any OMS match I find myself in. Now that there is a way to prevent being SP farmed via tanks by the major corps, I will be taking full advantage of it. I'm sure the majority of the community will be also, and it's a waste of time to be forced to leave an OMS battle just to find a regular Ambush one. Let those that want to play OMS do so, and let the rest of us play infantry-only.
Love the militia version weapons, good call on that one -- it allows mercs to try out different things before fully committing.
The increase to Academy matches is a good call, but not great. I will keep saying it until this game dies: the only true fix to NPE are meta-level capped public matches. It's the only sure way to close the disparity between 30 mil vets and 5-10 mil noobs; all other methods save tiercide depend on the available playerbase on at the same time you are playing, which is why they have always failed. Get us a "Room Finder", where we can create our own rooms and set requirements for gear meta-level, and you will do more for player retention that anything you have tried in the last year and a half.
It actually feels like CCP is listening lately, which is refreshing, to say the least. Too bad it apparently took the Legion clusterfrack for it to happen, but I am grateful for it. Feels like they are actually making an effort to save Dust.
