they are slow and short range weapons just use rail rifles and other long range weapons to kill a heavy
the turn speed debate is laughable and will make scouts more OP then ever being able to strafe around heavys show shooting them in the shoulder
its already hard enough to hit a scout with their jumping and movement speed in CQB and take only 2-3 shots to die to them You can't rail rifle into enclosed spaces where the heavies lurk without being in range of them. All the same, no to the turn speed nerf.

Yeah, you can. Just not on the underground one... I think it's Gallente research facility? And even then that's just the one objective, Alpha. Every other city map? Yeah you can pick them off easily with a RR, bro. On the Gallente research map, you cannot shoot into the stairs around B or at the letter on A or it's surrounding enclosed areas without being in a heavy's optimal, and those two points are half the map.
Tbh, it really depends on the map and the sockets that spawn on the map. For example, the underground objective sockets are very heavy friendly and relatively ranged RR safe. As are the interior of the buildings at Bravo and Alpha on the map with the tower in the center that has pipes coming out of it leading to each redline (think it might be called Border Gulch...).
I've run heavy plenty in the past, still do when the heavy spam is strong with the opposing team and I HAVE to breach a room. There are good places for heavies to hide, they just have a LOT of open ground around them and it's easy to get trapped inside them by ranged weapons.

I put one point into it to try it out when it hit, and I refuse to use something that feels so cheap. "Look, I'm 25m out of your absolute range but I can still drop your armor with 3-4 rounds!" Lame. I'm not the guy on the hill afraid to get shot at, I'm the dude with the assault combat rifle and assault SMG hosing your ***hole out from point blank range with my 85 round clip ACR and 100 round clip SMG in a Minassault.
I also die a lot.

Scr.. much more dps then a HMG do the math ScR also has a realistic overheat threshold and I believe +15%/-15% shield/armor damage profile whereas the HMG has -5%/+10% shield/armor damage profile, and armor is MUCH more abundant than shields.
Long story short, the ScR technically has a higher burst damage potential but with it's terrible damage v armor and the abundance thereof, in conjunction with it's balanced overheat setup, it's damage over time is much lower. I can fire off 80% of a clip with an HMG at OP 4 without overheating. 15 shots or 1 charged and 5 straight shots fired off as fast as the average player can pull the trigger will overheat it. That's a large damage gap over time and a large overheat gap, and you have to be FAR more precise with the ScR because of it.
