I agree, with the incoming nerf to activation time we need to plant RE faster.
That is a real problem with RE, i don't care to wait 2 or 3 second to activate it, but i need to place it as fast as i can.

I whole heartedly disagree, you can already throw them like Frisbees, if anything Remotes should hit harder but take longer to place down with a proper plant animation.

7-10m with 5m explosion radius and 1500 damage makes them better than grenades in many situations.
Most of the i'm killed by remotes not because of clever placing or carefully prepared traps but because a noob with a scout suit can just throw a remote in my direction and press L1 to get an instakill.
Remotes should not be thrown. They should be placed. |

+1 sir. Remotes are used by noobs throwing them and then activating them => Instakill. and never as a trap. |

you can only plant a RE if the tank is not paying attention or the tank is stuck thats the only why u can blow them up if ccp make the RE like the c4 on BF3 and BF4 tanks are easy to kill |

Obviously you need to shoot while you look directly at that idiot scout who is apparently running straight at you. Actually, he'd still set the explosive and detonate it, so you should start running. Maybe you've described the situation poorly. I will admit, i'm probably being overly sarcastic.
The main point here is sticking it on tanks.
If an HAV is aware of your presence before you plant the explosive, you've already messed up. If a tank spots you while planting, well that's tough.
I suppose the main thing I'm saying now is that scouts are meant to take advantage of holes in your attention, whether that means dropping an explosive at your feet, around a corner, near a terminal, or on the soft-spot of your tank. It's all part of a scout's job. If a scout just runs straight at you while you look straight at him, and he doesn't lose the fight--then we have a real issue. |

A) They don't need to bring back bleedout activation.
B) They were already nerfed hard enough, they don't need reduction in tossing distance, seeing as how it is already a very low tossing distance.
C) With the increased time to activate, there is no more excuses for you RE hating scrubs. Learn some field awareness for Pete's sake. If you play stupid, you deserve to die regardless of the suit you wear.
I have encountered many good heavies who keep their head on a swivel, and who kill me before I had detonated my RE, then stepped back and blew up the RE before I could spawn back in and use it. Smart. Its what they should do, and how things should work.
D) AV is hard enough, and good tankers good enough that prior to increased activation time they were already taking off after one, maybe 2 REs were tossed.
For primarily AV purposes, we need to be able to toss REs faster than they activate. If you are not capable of killing the RE carrier prior to 2 REs activating, I suggest trying making it a point to learn that tactic, or trying out a different role as you are not interested in learning the skills required to be a better heavy.
There are no skills that an RE user can obtain that will overcome the inherent disadvantage of the reload time being the equivalent of activation time presents.

re+enemy uplink=spawn camp.
only suit that can survive a single re would be a heavy suit with nothing but stacked complex plates and extenders.
but they would survive with so little hp they wouldnt survive a single bullet any ways. still its nice to survive one.
for the bf part...it better come with a vehicle price reduction. then.

I have used REs for almost a year, on nearly every suit I own, and though I did on occasion use a bleed out RE, I at least can recognize they were a broken mechanic and not good for the game.

bleedout detonation is something that should have never been removed, there is no reason for it if you get put down with your detonator up then u should have to option to detonate any you have out. why should you not be able to becuse it makes some people cry? its not like it was something that was gamebreaking it added spice to the game ,something that is needed. and remotes do deploy entirely to damn slow currently. |

You really can't do too much camping that way, unless the uplink is in a bad location to begin with, you'd either destroy the uplink on the first detonation, or have to predict where the enemy will go after they spawn (in my experience if you're trying to preserve the uplink so you can get more kills there's a few different ways to leave a well-placed uplink). |
