I'm going to have to rely on two of the candidates or otherwise to vouch for me, but it's cleaner for me to post here than make a thread. I rather like that candidates' endorsements constitute the majority of the standalone threads.
Aeon Amadi - I've known Aeon for quite awhile now. He has some of the broadest-base experience in different game "lifestyles" of all the candidates, and he's also in the minority of my top 7 in the category of not having been a big corp CEO or alliance officer. Having the big-picture perspective that those leaders do adds tons of value to the CPM, but so do perspectives like Aeon's. In my experience the two playstyles vary radically different day-to-day. He's also very likely to politely tell it how it is and not act optimistic for the sake of it.
SirManBoy - I've know SMB for ages, and you couldn't pick a better guy for poise. You could disagree with SMB all day while without the least bit of venom, but still come out of it without a doubt that you disagreed. SMB also has the most experience in the candidate pool with large (non-training, ah got my eyes on you Dennie) corps- which makes him my pick for my personal experiences.
Kevall Longstride - Let CCP foot the poor man's travel bill already. Dennie is the tiniest bit a CCP apologist, but I'm willing to forgive him for it. I'm pretty sure that his continued spending and dedication legitimately aren't healthy. There's no doubt that from the ground up D514 is a new player grinder, and destroyer of sanity for those wanting to do anything logistical for large corps. For all these reasons Dennie's a bang-up pick. I just hope he defers to other members when something isn't in his area of expertise. :3
Zatara Rought - Zatara's the only candidate whom I expect to have very high competence in current and future PC mechanics. It's critically important that this CPM has someone on board who can translate "Let's do X in PC" into "That sounds good on paper, but it's no fun for players". Zat also has access to the most cutting-edge balance information straight from the frontlines. Trust me, that's going to be important.
Iron Wolf Saber - Iron's a good guy, dedicated, and can bring some continuity from CPM0 to CPM1. 'nuff said.
Soraya Xel - I thought Soraya totally jumped the gun with his original candidacy announcement, but he has kept up a fever-pitch of campaign activity since then. That's some drive. His strongest points are that he has the tech experience to identify for council members some of what is and isn't feasible from a programming standpoint, a good perspective for a health cross-game link, and experience with the painfully awful alliance tools.
Cross Atu - Cross and Aeon are a bit alike in my book, except Cross is less gruff and more Feedback. He's not a big corp CEO, he has a long-ass history of good communication through the forums (at least a few CPM's need to), and a very clear picture of what Dust's core issues are/were.
And that's my 7. All of the candidates this year are extremely high quality- after being put through a year of tragedy to the point that CCP hardly deserve a CPM at all, you guys have instead made this an auspicious start for the elected CPM.
