Ok suggestion. But arming timer is the biggest need of all as genuine traps would be nice to have in gameplay. Nice - although not must have.

I've been using them as instagib grenades recently, and they're nuts.
I'm not so good with them yet, but I managed seven kills with them in a fifty clone ambush (aside from a number of other kills). I shudder to think what I cos so skin F/45s and a bit of experience, let alone the Boundless...

but also these changes stop bunnyhopping scouts lobbing RE's like a mad bomber

Hell, you could bust the blast radius to .25-.50-1.0 and is be fine with that. I don't want death a frisbee, I want C4 for sticking to the back of a tank.
The risk won't be worth the reward.

Here's another option, fix the AV imbalance issues first. Then come back to the RE's.
Just pinning the tail on the donkey isn't going to stop it from dying.
The K.I.S.S. principal does work.
I recommend you get some "New Balance" shoes Chump Change Productions.

The problem with remotes isn't it's av ability right now, it's a high risk, high reward strategy. The problem is it's use as a grenade. It's the same problem they had with dumbfire swarms. It's also the reason why plasma cannons were so crappy when first implemented.

No it doesnt make sense that a explosive that is bigger then a grenade has a lower blast radius and takes considerable more time to use it. The arming time nerf is fine which prevents scrubs to just jump at a heavy and throw remotes around like a jackass. |

I understand it is to some extant, yes. But most (you shouldn't kill me cuz I'm a Heavy)Heavies don't see my 1st or 2nd RE I already deployed down. They just see me throw the one in my hand....arrrgggg.. $&@?! Frisbee!
Eyes and Awareness are a dying trait anymore.

Get killed by someone who laid R.Es as a trap sucks, but I have little problems with it. It's when they run into a fight with it and use it as a main weapon, throwing it into hallways and into groups of enemies to kill them.
