Yes.
Apparently its ok if std HAV and LAV are cheap and not so significantly worse than the proto versions that everyone can use them, but when it comes to REs...
Lets just say that its obvious CCP cares more about helping those who don't have the field awareness rather than actually taking a step back and seeing what the real problem is.

It's totally OP. Man, you are dumb. It takes skill to actually use Nova Knives. They practically have no range, so killing fatsuits with them is perfectly fair game. But they totally are OP! I mean, what other sidearm can one shot any suit? Vapor Forseti wrote:They practically have no range Either I am misreading things, or someone is missing Crimson's sarcasm.

Crimson ShieId wrote: Still totally OP. Needs nerf. No sidearm should be able to one shot a suit. It's not fair to the fatties who stack all those plates and extenders to have a single suit kill them.
Please tell me you ARE being sarcastic...

Besides, a good heavy checks his 6 regularly. You know how hard it is to sneak up behind someone who actually makes an effort to be aware of their surroundings?
Damn hard. Especially when they carry weapon that can melt your face in a fraction of a second.

Please tell me you ARE being sarcastic... cloak + one shot weapon = usually bad. But in this case I say leave nova's alone. The problem is, that if he has a cal scout buddy in his squad that doesn't wander too far away, I light up on his tacnet like a christmas tree. He gets to have field presence AND an incredibly high ehp suit with face melting weaponry.
If I have a heavy in my squad, I don't get any passive increase to my armor. I don't get armor reps if someone else in my squad has them equipped.
Minjas are the red headed stepchild of Dust.

A gatherer of information and the first one to an area. Not an elite assassin capable of dispatching any foe. That is delusion brought on by ego. And let's not pretend you know anything about good heavies. Thanks. Its been pretty well established that there is a rock paper scissors (ideally) aspect to Dust.
Heavies are the rock, assaults/mediums the scissors, and scouts the paper.
If not the scouts, who else would be the heavy counter?

XD I love Nova Knives, and since CCP has been sucking the fun out of this game, the suggestion to remove one of the last things I can enjoy about Dust was made as a joke. Damn it. Sorry, bro. ^~^ You're gonna have to wait a few more years before having a legit reason to call someone dumb over wanting Nova Knives nerfed... well, actually, I think I have seen one legit thread on nerfing the knives... Can't quite recall though, but I'm sure at least one person has done so and not simply done so in sarcasm. Like you, I also love the knives. Anyone who honestly thinks NKs should be nerfed automatically go on my list. I am sorry. /huggles I would be careful of any hugs concerning us NK users... You never know what they have in their hands at any given time.

Heavies are the rock, assaults/mediums the scissors, and scouts the paper. If not the scouts, who else would be the heavy counter? Another heavy, or multiple mediums/scouts. And that's fair, because medium frames and scouts contribute something other than combat. Heavies only contribute combat, therefore they need to be superior at it. Being locked into a rock paper scissors system does not make them superior at it. Not everything needs a counter of equal strength to make a game balanced. That's simply an easier answer for people to comprehend when they lack perception of how everything interacts on multiple levels. Rock Paper Scissors is game design at its absolute laziest, and is never something you should strive for. You sound like a tanker. They say the only thing that should take on a tank is another tank or damn near full squad of AV.
If you need multiple people to take down a heavy, then its Heavy 514, and everyone will run it. There will be no room for diversity. This game is meant to exist with a plethora of viable options. Just because you haven't the skill to turn around on occasion to check your surroundings doesn't mean the rest of the community needs to be molded to fit your handicap.
