lol. well, Amarr names are usually based off of religious sounding names, Caldari is birds, Gallente is Greek gods, and Winmatar is weapons (like swords and ****), and crazy ass weather like hurricanes.

I'm pretty sure Rupture is neither a weapon nor a force of nature. You could say that it could be another term for an earthquake, but that would just be arguing semantics.

Also the Stabber isn't really a 'sword' neither is a Thrasher. Matari ships are really named after Violent acts either man made or by nature. Also predatory animal names (Wolf, Hound, Cheetah).

Edit: Also some names from Norse Myths: Ragnarok, Naglfar, Fenrir, Nidhoggur (only guessing as it is close to N+¡+¦h+¦ggr)

Maybe CCP doesn't want to run out of cool names so they haven't given any to dropsuits. They have given vehicles names, and I think it's time we all readdressed the topic of suit names for Legion. I'd like to start by suggesting some names. I'm not really attached to any I just wanted to throw some out.

Amarr Logi: Principe or Medicus
Amarr Sentinel: Praetorian

Gallente troops get French military words.
Gallente Scout: Courreur or Canardeur
Gallente Assault: Lignard or Fusillier
Gallente Logi: Sapeur
Gallente Sentinel: Cuirassier

Amarr Sentinel should be Fat Priest.

I opted for a different naming scheme only because they are a totally different military unit and opening up a separate naming scheme for dropsuits than ships opens them up for more potential names. I was hoping instead of telling me how suit names should be picked people would suggest some of their own.
