Scouts, Heavys, Logis, Tanks, Ads, are all doing there roles out there but sadly the assault suit has no place right now.

I just went back to medium frames and after 4 days of negative scores and 3mil isk lost i got used to it, but i still die a lot . I think the FOTM scouts are getting bored and going back to mediums. They still need a buff, I suggest a little more HP to make it a higher chance of surviving cloaked shotty scouts. More slots and fitting space could achieve this along with a base HP buff.
44/4 in a BPO Scout (1.8) 40/5 in a Proto Assault (1.7)

They once mentioned something about possibly combining the roles of Commando and Assault.
With the changes inspired by the community, assault is the last class I think of because in game they don't offer much. Nowadays you need a heavy on the point. A logi to heal. Scout to drop uplinks and disrupt opposition. Commandos slay and when need be, change to a situational weapon to help team.
There's really no place for the assault, really. In today's war and by today's war standards, its utterly useless. Especially for players desiring maximum WP gain while performing well at their duties.

I'd heard this too, about Legion. It's too late of course to do this in Dust so suggestions please on how to fix the assault; more HP? Stronger damage bonuses? |

My minmatar seems wonderful. The only bad thing is when it's put against adv gal sentinels with over 1500 hp. The amarr, however is just terribly slow with bad slot layout

Need HP buffed a bit and slots redone. 5-2 Cal, 4-3 Min, 3-4 Gal, 2-5 Amarr at proto, imo. Slight HP buff to basic/enh extenders and/or resource reduction to help out shield tanking. Damage mods could honestly stand another look, too.

I don't know about the rest of you but i get hella scared when i meet one of those Amarr Assaults with them SCR attached... When that combo happens with even an adequate player in the fit, good lord **** gets shred, well atleast my **** gets shredded(Shield tank) |

I have been in my assault suit since day one and still use it in PC every night. its a pain to attack the enemy home point when there are caldari scouts looking for me they see me and i don't see them. then when i do see them they have the same HP as my caldari assault now i can win that gun fight most times but im at a disadvantage there faster invisible and there HP comes back faster.

scouts are not doing their roles. they need their bonuses moved to the applicable modules only.
they have the same firepower with light weapons and sidearms as any other suit class except commandos. theyre faster, can cloak, and they know where you are and even which direction youre facing. they also get two equipment slots.
thats not a scout... thats more of a commando than our current commandos lol
take away their light weapon slot and see what happens lol |

you wouldnt be able to fit a full complex fitting on a 5-2 cal layout. try doing now with a 4-3 layout and not using a cpu mod.
i enjoy having dual regulators in my lows. if we go to a 5-2 layout then i want the shield delays dropped by another second each. |

id totally love it if assaults had two light weapons.
give the cpu/pg bonus to all basic medium frames and then give the current commandos bonues to the assaults.
then delete the commandos. |

Recharge delay on shields would make them bounce back more often. Would also make regulators and rechargers viable.
Assaults cloud then assault and move cover to cover making them essential to gaining ground, whereas the heavy/logi could keep it and clean up after all the Rambos.

I say make the assault a squad based suit. You get damage bonuses to racial weapons only if in a squad. Also, the squad gets the benefit of whoever has the highest bonus.
The scout, heavy and logi are better for solo players to use due to versatility or better defense of some kind. The assault being a basic attacker with basic gun game would be what people who like to squad and communicate would prefer.

Hmmm maybe we can give each suit spec bonus to race weapon like amarr have. I know that lot of people like minmatar ammo bonus so both amarr and minmatar assault bonus could stay. Problems are with Cal & Gal. Caldari - 5% bonus to railgun weapons ROF Gallente - 5% bonus to blaster weapons range We can discuss about those suit bonuses. What do U think about it? |

At this point I don't believe it's possible. Without new content there's no resistance mods or inate resistance stats for all the other suits except sentinels but those are bonuses.
Heavy assault cruisers get 4 bonuses based on two skills and a 5th role bonus to our "kinetic catalyzers". We only get two bonuses based on one skill. There's not enough slot layout diversity with 5-5 compared to eves 8-8-8 setup. Some of our modules are in the wrong slot tiers.
Wed have to give new assault suit bonuses and a role bonus, as well as fix they're slot layouts so they don't have fewer slots than logis, they need to be faster too or have resistances or repairing. The idea of a Deimos is to get close to you, fast, hit hard and repair the damage you deal. A complex repairer would need like a 100% boost on gallente suits to achieve something barely acceptable. Caldari would need regulator bonuses and shield resistances. Smart would have armor resistances. Then they need new weapon bonuses. Amarr need damage and they're current overheat bonus. And it has to be done for all 4 assault suits to make them viable since scanners were way overnerfed.
This is because they need something to overcome the scouts built in scanner which is the only effective way to scan now.
Don't forget they need more pg and CPU too. These are all issues that have been with the assault suit for months. there's no reason a logi should fit weapons and armor better than an assault suit with a fitting bonus and still have more CPU and pg left over than the assault suit. It's pathetic, assault suits are basically broken beyond repair and will never represent their ship equivalent in eve.

That's something that should have been fixed along time ago as well. Gallente and caldari use hybrid weapons interchangeably. Caldari would get a range bonus to blasters and rails because they're both hybrid weapons. Gal would get a rof or damage bonus to blasters and rails because they're both hybrids.
This whole cal get rails and gal get blasters in dust rule is completely wrong as far as new Eden goes.

This sounds more like a nerf than a buff. So the bonus would only apply in a squad, unlike every other suits bonuses?

I'm still curious as to what the tanks role is... tell IWS while your at it, he doesn't seem to think they have one either...
as far as assaults go, give them a dmg bonus to light weapon and side arm dmg respective to the suits race, and give them all an extra grenade slot.... fixed! |

Well not really. Until the Caldari of DUST get anti-infantry missle weapons, then it makes more sense that they get a rail gun bonus.
In EVE;
Caldari - Primary: Missiles, Secondary: Railguns Gallente - Primary: Balsters/Railguns, Secondary: Drones
So if the Gallente assault were to receive a bonus to railgun usage ,what would the Caldari assault get? Swarm launcher bonus? Not viable, unless they make them dumbfire again. And I doubt that that endeavor would turn out well.
